
Step into the historic heart of Gyula on Monday and Friday strolls throughout May 2026, starting from Tourinform (5700 Gyula, 7 Kossuth Lajos St.). This easy, two-hour guided walk takes in the city’s most beloved buildings, monuments, and cultural gems while you soak up the charming streetscape. All sights are viewed from outside, perfect for anyone who loves history-rich city exploration and atmospheric architecture.
Route Highlights
From the Tourinform office, the route winds along Városház St. and Harruckern Square to the World Clock (Világóra) and Kossuth Square, then on to the Kohán Gallery (Kohán Képtár), the Ladics House, the Százéves Confectionery (Százéves Cukrászda), City Hall, and St. Nicholas Church (Szent Miklós). It continues to the 1848–49 Honvéd Officer Memorial, then the Castle, the Castle Spa (Várfürdő), and the Almásy Mansion. Expect a relaxed, fully walkable loop packed with historical context and architectural stories.
