Budapest’s VR Magic Center throws open its doors May 8–10 with a wall-to-wall playground of virtual reality in the city’s 5th District, Downtown (Belváros-Lipótváros), at 2 Szép Street (Szép utca 2)—just 150 meters from Ferenciek Square (Ferenciek tere) metro. Expect hundreds of games, seven extreme motion simulators, 2K–4K headsets, and a 9D VR cinema. Think dynamic motion seats and a barrage of special effects—sound, wind, rain, smoke, leg sweeps, even bumps—wrapped in a 360-degree panoramic world. Up to 25 people can enter; 18 can play at once.
What you can ride and play
VR Infinite War (Végtelen háború) lays out a 16-square-meter arena for 1–4 players, a tactical shooter in 4K with eight game modes. Super Ride – Flying Cinema (Repülő mozi) banks to a 90-degree tilt, a 1–2 player motorcycle simulator with eight special effects. Super Fly 360° flips you head over heels: full rotation, weightlessness, and high-speed drops for 1–2 players. VR Space Theater ramps it to 9D for 1–4 players with 100 titles loaded with effects. VR Beat Hero lets you slash beats with a laser sword to the music for 1–2 players. Space-Time Shuttle spins a 360-degree shuttle for 1–2 players with 43 games. VR Paraglider delivers a real-feel paragliding rush with a 4K headset for 1–2 players.
Who can join and safety rules
Height 55–79 inches, weight 77–265 pounds, ages 10–79; clean clothing required. Not allowed: anyone intoxicated or under the influence; those with epilepsy, high blood pressure, or a tendency to dizziness.
Booking, prices, and packages
Book starting one day in advance; walk-ins can play if there’s space. Extreme Package/Magic Package special: $33 regular price, now $14 (Thu–Fri) or $19 (Sat–Sun). Extreme Package: max 8 players, 3 machines at once, 40 selectable games, 3×5–10 minutes, ages 12 and up, 55–79 inches / 77–265 pounds. On-the-day token prices
