Budapest Jazz Club rolls into 2026 with a full-throttle calendar of live music, international stars, and late-night jams at its concert hall and nostalgic café-bistro at 1136 Budapest, District 13, Hollán Ernő St. 7. Concerts start at 20:00, while the hugely popular jam sessions run Tuesday through Saturday from 22:00. Drop by day or night for music, food, and the city’s most reliable groove.
May Highlights
May kicks off on 05.08 with Harmónia Jazzműhely hosting UK powerhouse Liane Carroll, joined by József “Pluto” Horváth and Ambrus Richter, followed by a Free BJC Jam Session with the József Balázs Trio. On 05.09, Studio11 Evenings brings the Studio11 Ensemble with Tibor Kocsis; the MÁV Symphony Orchestra explores Music – Space – Image: Percussion; and a late jam with the Károly Gáspár Trio. 05.10 features Bartók Conservatory Jazz Department – Serenade; 05.11 the Péter Sárik Trio with Koszika; 05.12 Nikoletta Szőke Gipsy Queen Live and LFZE Open Jam: Gergő Tóth Quartet. Midweek keeps buzzing: 05.13 Wednesday Open Jam: Iván Nagy Classic Jam plus Budateher Jazz Night: Red Stones. On 05.14, BJC Café Jam: Sándor Molnár & Friends and NMK Presents: Balázs Elemér Group. The 05.15 slate has Harmónia Jazzműhely: Tacet Jazz Quintet and a free jam with the János Egri Trio; 05.16 doubles down with the Péter Pintér Trio at the jam and Harmónia Jazzműhely: Attila László Quintet.
Big Bands, Exams, and Festivals
The club hosts Liszt Academy exam concerts on 05.18 and 05.20, plus 06.01–06.04 diploma recitals. 05.18 brings Papageno Jazz Night: BJC Big Band; 05.19 launches All In Jam Fest and the Gábor Farkas Quintet – “The Best Is Yet To Come.” On 05.20, the László Halper Quintet features Roby Lakatos, alongside All In Jam Fest. Radiocafé presents Groovus on 05.21, and the Fest runs through 05.22.
