The Budaörs (Budaörs) Festival takes over the town May 5–10 with a six-day surge of culture across multiple venues, and it won’t cost a dime. It opens with art exhibition launches, then rolls into an all-you-can-see lineup of concerts, theater, film screenings, and community happenings designed to keep days and nights packed.
Music That Doesn’t Quit
Stages light up with a genre-hopping roster: the Sárik Péter Trió (Péter Sárik Trio) delivers jazz finesse, Lázár Tesók (Lázár Brothers) drop indie intimacy, and Sena brings her unmistakable groove. Jazzbois weave mellow beats, while Szentpéteri Csilla & Band (Csilla Szentpéteri & Band) fuse classical flair with pop energy. Folk legends Kaláka add poetic warmth, and Quimby caps things with alt-rock swagger. It’s a tour through Hungary’s live music heartbeat in one week.
Beyond the Stages
Between shows, the program leans social: community meetups, family-friendly activities, and film sessions keep momentum high and schedules flexible. The theater bill folds in fresh performances for all ages, while exhibition openings set the tone early—art first, then everything else. Come for the headliners, stay for the discoveries, and bring everyone: admission is free.
