Spring Highlights
May 16 brings Saint John of Nepomuk Day with a luminous “fényúsztatás” on the water. The next day, the Nepomuki Körűi Market warms up the Whitsun season with friendly stalls and regional flavors.
Summer Peak
Sweet season hits on June 13 with the Big Cherry Fair, then a Night Gastro Market on June 27. July offers a Literary Evening at the Folk House (Tájház) (17), a Fish Sausage Festival plus Night Gastro Market (18), the Körű Fare (Búcsú) (19), and a St. Elias Day torchlit parade (20). August features a Folk Music and Dance Gathering and dance house (táncház) (1), another Night Gastro Market (15), the Saint John Street Ball (22), and the Young Ferryman Competition (22).
Autumn to Advent
Sip and shop at the 2nd Pálinka Competition Awards (Sept 19) and Pálinka Market (20). Open Farmstead Weekend runs Oct 2–4, followed by the Big Preserving (Oct 17), St. Martin’s Day Market (Nov 15), Three Kings Hike and Pilgrimage (Dec 19), and the Advent Market (20). The venue, 17.4 miles from Szolnok, offers hearty dining, comfortable rooms with breakfast, and a flavor workshop crafting standout local fruit jams. Organizers may change dates and programs.
