On May 16, the courtyard of the Finnish Embassy (Finn Nagykövetség) will turn into a laid-back garden party filled with Finnish food and cultural programs. Admission is free, the vibes last all day, and the menu tempts with affordably priced bites and drinks. Some programs require advance registration, so it’s worth signing up in time.
Finnish flavors, music, and sauna steam
Guests will enjoy a curated selection of Finnish music all day, and there’s even a cool mobile sauna to try. On the food and drink front, small wineries will be there, and the Swedish candy shop Poppy (Poppy édességbolt) is joining in with Nordic sweet temptations. The focus is on Finnish cuisine, so expect clean, nature-inspired flavors—glass in hand, picnic vibes all around.
Tango on the grass, architecture in the tent
The program includes a tango lesson to set the rhythm, a hands-on architecture workshop to spark creativity, and yard games to get both kids and adults moving. The goal is simple: to bring Finland’s everyday culture closer—through dance, design, play, and bites—at a friendly outdoor gathering.
