Located at 2000 Szentendre, Pátriárka Street (Pátriárka utca) 6, the center blends learning, cooking, crafting, celebration, and prayer, and it doesn’t shy away from big ideas—nor big flavors. Here’s what’s coming up this spring and early summer, with programs inviting locals and visitors to study, cook, sing, and savor together.

May 17: Fusion Foods Workshop

Did you know the brain burns 20–25% of the body’s energy? Feed the spirit so the body thrives—this themed cooking class starts each session with a bite-sized study segment, an intellectual amuse-bouche introducing the day’s menu. Intro learning is led by Rebbetzin Myers Tzivia, while Chef Balázs Sepsi runs the hands-on kitchen adventure. Most of the time is joyfully spent cooking, testing techniques, and tasting. May 21: Shavuot in Szentendre, Day I

Seven weeks after physical liberation on Passover (Pészah), Shavuot marks spiritual freedom and the Revelation—receiving the Torah and the Ten Commandments. First-night schedule: 20:00 Festive prayer; 20:20 Torah Marathon, Part 1; 21:00 Kiddush and feast. The Torah Marathon runs until dawn, welcoming everyone to learn deep into the night.

May 22: Shavuot in Szentendre, Day II

Why dairy on Shavuot? Come for “Ten Reasons We Eat Dairy” at 17:00, stay for the public reading of the Ten Commandments at 17:30, and cheesecake judging at 18:00. A dairy buffet awaits—yes, with dairy-free options for inclusivity and comfort.
