From May’s symphonies to summer wine and spritzer weekends, autumn’s Baroque elegance, and winter’s big-name tributes, Győr keeps the experiences coming all year.
May: Symphonies, puppets, and street vibes
May opens with two anchors: Vaskakas Puppet Theatre (Vaskakas Bábszínház) performances running May 9–17 and again May 23–31, with tickets from about 6 to 38 USD. On May 17, the city’s beloved Győr Antiques Fair (Győri Régiségvásár) returns, a regular throughout the year. That same day, Symphonie fantastique shakes the Richter János Concert Hall with the Győr Philharmonic Orchestra (Győri Filharmonikus Zenekar), tickets at roughly 20 USD.

July: Kids take over, spritzers clink
The 19th GyőrKids Festival (Győrkőcfesztivál) runs July 3–5, transforming the city for children with performances, play zones, and immersive fun. Something New Season 3 returns July 8 with Cafuné – A Noite da Saudade at the House of Generations for about 10 USD. The Győr Rotary Spritzer Days (Győri Rotary Fröccsnapok) toast summer July 17–18, while the Győr Antiques Fair pops up again July 19. Győr keeps the pace in the new year with Ray Cooney’s Out of Order (Kölcsönlakás) at the Richter on January 2 (about 28 USD), Funny Money on January 3 (22–28 USD), and Out of Order (A miniszter félrelép) on January 4 (22–28 USD). Spring brings arena-scale tributes: MICHAEL – The Michael Jackson Show from London’s West End hits the Győr Olympic Sports Park Multi-Hall on April 23, tickets 25–42 USD.
