KiddieTime is a new Wednesday series at the Óbuda Synagogue that blends music, learning, drama, and Krav Maga to connect 3–10-year-olds with Jewish traditions—together with their parents. Every Wednesday from 4:30–6:00 p.m., the community spaces at 163 Lajos Street, District 3 – Óbuda, 1036 Budapest fill with songs, stories, and action, turning midweek afternoons into family time.
Sing, Discover, Create
Each session unfolds in three parts. It starts with a music block where kids and parents sing Hebrew songs, explore prayers, and learn melodies tied to the holidays. Then comes the weekly Torah portion through drama education: guided by a drama teacher, children dive into the stories with games, role-play, and hands-on activities, building understanding through play.
Move with Confidence
The finale is movement: a kid-friendly Krav Maga class led by a coach with experience training in Israel. Beyond exercise, the focus is confidence, discipline, and a strong sense of community.
Who’s Behind It
Program lead: Zsuzsa Szilánk, EMIH’s head of education. Program coordinator: Miri Radó. Jewish content: Petra Nagy. Sessions are free but require registration.
