Budapest lights up on Friday, June 12, 2026, as Heroes’ Square (Hősök tere) turns into an all-night, open-air playground for Night of Movement (Mozgás Éjszakája). It’s free, no registration—just show up, grab a wristband on-site, and get moving. From dusk to dawn, the city goes full throttle with workouts, tours, and urban adventures, and nearly 100 more locations nationwide join in with their own programs.

Where, when, how

The Budapest hub is Heroes’ Square (Hősök tere) in District XIV (Zugló), running 19:00–03:00. Participation is free. A festival wristband is required for sports programs; pick it up at info points or from event animators. If you’re collecting Pentathlon (Ötpróba) points, verify completions via the GeoGo app. No registration is needed for sports, but hit “Going” on the Facebook event to help organizers plan.

Citywide sports buffet

You can sample about 25 sports in Budapest alone—from Zumba to fitness, badminton to spinning—plus special routes and night tours. Expect an atmospheric night run, a downtown bike tour, a guided walk skirting the rooftop of the new Museum of Ethnography (Néprajzi Múzeum), a showy inline skating wave, and a stack of other workouts.
