Siófok is rolling into summer 2026 with a packed calendar: festivals on the sand, live gigs from legends and fresh faces, theater under the stars, book launches, lavender harvests, boat parties, and city games that turn sightseeing into a thrill. From June through mid-July, the south shore of Lake Balaton becomes a nonstop playground across multiple venues.
All-Week Boat Trips and City Adventure Game
All summer long, Siófok’s classic boat excursions cast off from the harbor, offering breezy views of Lake Balaton. Running in parallel most weeks is a playful outdoor city sightseeing adventure game that sends families and friend groups on clue-fueled routes around local landmarks. The game repeats weekly across June and July, so you’ve got plenty of chances to jump in.
Dance, Words and Community: June 8–12
On June 8 at 19:00, Duna Művészegyüttes and the Göncöl zenekar present Apák és fiak (Fathers and Sons), a dance production inspired by Albert Nagy’s collections, at the Kálmán Imre Cultural Center theater. Jászai Mari Award-winning actor Ödön Rubold reads from Ferenc Kölcsey’s Parainesis Kölcsey Kálmánhoz (Parainesis to His Nephew), with young dancer Máté Orosz of the Debrecen Hajdú Ensemble also featured. June 10 brings two literary events at the BRTK Library: an interactive children’s session, Malac és Liba (Pig and Goose), with Krisztina Tóth at 13:30, followed by the launch of her new book, Kánkán az üvegpadlón (Can-Can on the Glass Floor), at 17:00. On June 11 at 17:00, Katalin Szegedi presents Mintha tegnap (As If It Were Yesterday) at the same venue.
June 12 ignites the Plázs Siófok season with DESH (19:00–23:00) and a NECC PARTY running 22:00–04:00. That day also spotlights Siófok Sport Day at the Nagystrand, 10:00–15:00. Try soccer, tennis, basketball, chess, beach volleyball, dance, combat sports, and more, with local clubs and coaches on hand. Special guests: Exatlon Hungary winners Réka Szabó and Gábor Koplányi and the challengers’ team. The message is simple: sport builds confidence, stamina, and community—come move together by the lake.
Lavender, Local Culture and Big Nights: June 12–15
ÉnKertem’s Lavender Harvest blossoms June 12–14 at 136 Diófás Street, continuing June 19–21, June 26–28, and a long spell June 5–July 7. On June 12 at 17:00, the BRTK Library hosts the SiópArt 2026/2 issue launch, tied to Perczel “75.”
June 13 is packed: a morning Sound Bath with Kitty Zeller J. at the BRTK Library (09:30), EL PASO at Plázs with Purebeat, Chriss Jay, Rick Wayne, Polevaya, Wizty, and resident Barta, plus Carson Coma live 19:00–23:00.
Festival Swing and Street Beats: June 19–21
From June 19, Plázs opens its Friday series: Metzker & Friends with Viktória Metzker, Koósz Milán, Mario, Pixa, and K-OSZ TV on site, alongside a Neoton concert 19:00–23:00. Everness Festival (Everness Fesztivál) lands June 19–28 with its signature mindful vibe across Siófok. On June 20, a Disco Boat sails from the pier, while the 2nd Street Music Cavalcade (Utcazene Kavalkád) turns city corners into micro-stages with young and seasoned musicians across genres. The same day: Pogány Induló storms Plázs, the 2nd Siófok Mölkky Championship throws down at the Beszédes József School park at 13:00 (winners take home authentic Mölkky sets; there’s a Finnish quiz too), and guided Siófok Walks (Siófoki séták) unfold around town.
Books on the Beach and AstroFest: June 22–28
From June 22 to August 19, Sóstó and Újhely beaches host a Beach Library—borrow a read between swims. June 26 features the BNK (Bódis-Nagy Katinka) Dance Association’s Fergeteges Előadás at the Kálmán Imre Cultural Center, soundtracked by summer hits under the banner How Could I Live Without You?
AstroFest hits Plázs June 26–27 with a multi-stage lineup. July 1 at 21:00, the Veres 1 Színház revives Amerikai komédia (American Comedy), a swing musical based on Károly Aszlányi’s play, at the open-air Kálmán Imre Stage in Jókai Park. Plázs fires up July with Krisz Rudi’s exclusive Homokba rajzolt szerelem (Love Drawn in the Sand) show on July 2 (guest: AK26), then BSW and the Gang on July 3.
