Hódmezővásárhely turns Kossuth Square into a summer launchpad from June 12–14, 2026, as the Vásárhely Beer Festival (Vásárhelyi Sörfesztivál) pours three days of craft brews, live music, family-friendly fun, and that unmistakable festival buzz. Locals and visitors mingle in the heart of the city at 6800 Hódmezővásárhely, Kossuth Square (Kossuth tér), raising their glasses to the season with artisan and traditional beers, street food, and a warm, easygoing atmosphere.
Thursday: Family vibes and hip-hop heat
The festival opens on Thursday with Katica Együttes bringing a family-first set before Duckshell turns up the tempo. Hungarian hip-hop mainstay Sub Bass Monster takes the spotlight as the evening’s marquee act, and Black Five closes the night with a high-energy performance.
Friday: Traditions meet modern rock
Friday blends folk heritage with contemporary sound. The “Meeting of Traditions” program rolls out folk showcases from Hódmezővásárhely and its twin towns, offering a colorful cultural bridge to the evening’s concerts. xTian, Pentachord, and Only Cash Band set the stage for the internationally touring Paddy and the Rats, who deliver a riotous headline set. Dirty Slippers keeps the party alive deep into the night.
Sunday: Folk finesse and a luminous finale
Sunday eases in with the Dynamite Dudes, followed by the richly textured Buda Folk Band. The festival closes in style as Dánielfy takes over Kossuth Square with an atmospheric show that seals the three-day celebration on a soulful note.
