
Keszthely throws a midsummer bash on June 19–20, 2026, at the lakeside Music Pavilion (Zenepavilon) on Lake Balaton, where folk music, dance, and living traditions take center stage. Two evenings of concerts, dance-house sessions, and international folklore groups invite everyone to dive into a vibrant celebration. Admission is free—bring your friends and your dancing shoes.

Friday highlights
6:00 PM – Adél Tóth’s playhouse opens the festivities for families.
7:30 PM – Gyenes Folk Dance Ensemble (Gyenes Néptáncegyüttes) and Georgikon Folk Dance Ensemble (Georgikon Néptáncegyüttes) deliver a heritage-rich folk dance performance that taps deep into local roots.
8:30 PM – Uljana Quartet in concert: traditional Hungarian folk songs from authentic sources, fused with world music textures and performed in an unfiltered, emotional style.
10:00 PM – Re-Folk Dance House (Re-Folk Táncház) closes the night with a communal dance—jump in and feel the pulse of folk culture.
Saturday global groove
From 7:00 PM, folk music and dance troupes from Lithuania, Türkiye, Czechia, Poland, and Latvia take the stage for a cross-border midsummer showcase.
