Voluta International Water Carnival splashes back into Mosonmagyaróvár on June 12–13, 2026, along the Mosoni-Danube riverbank (9200). One of the city and region’s biggest crowd-pullers, the festival invites guests to explore a natural riverside setting and play on winding waters, turning early-summer days into a full-on community celebration.
Two Decades on the Water
What began as a grassroots dragon boat challenge now ranks among the area’s top tourism draws every June. The name Voluta comes from the double-arched whirl left by an oar—shared by every water sport. That idea fuels the motto: Love and respect the water you sail, and leave only the voluta behind. True to that spirit, rowers, kayakers, canoeists, dragon boaters, and gondoliers gather each year to compete and connect.
Citywide Vibes, Night and Day
Concerts turn the carnival into a citywide pulse, where visitors and locals quickly blend into one crew.
