June 12–14, 2026 — Hódmezővásárhely’s Kossuth Square turns into a three-day playground of specialty beers, live music, and family fun as the Vásárhelyi Beer Festival (Vásárhelyi Sörfesztivál) pops the cap on summer. Locals and visitors pack the square for chilled pints, street eats, and a buzzing community vibe that runs from late afternoon into the night across all three days.
Thursday: Family start, hip-hop punch
Things open with Katica Együttes bringing a family-friendly set at 16:00, before Duckshell lifts the tempo at 18:00. The night’s spotlight lands on Hungarian hip-hop staple Sub Bass Monster at 21:00, and Black Five closes out the first night from 22:30 with a high-energy blast.
Friday: Trad meets turbo
Saturday spirit lands early on Friday with Hagyományok találkozása (“Meeting of Traditions”) at 16:00, a showcase blending the folk traditions of Hódmezővásárhely and its twin towns. Then it’s a sprint through modern sounds: xTian at 17:00, Pentachord at 18:00, and Only Cash Band from 19:30. The roof comes off at 21:00 when internationally touring Paddy and the Rats storm the stage, and Dirty Slippers keep the afterglow rolling at 23:00.
Sunday: Folk colors, big finale
The closing day leans warm and melodic. Dynamite Dudes hit at 17:00, Buda Folk Band colors the evening at 18:30, and the finale arrives at 20:30 with Dánielfy, whose intimate, emotional set is built to seal a perfect three-day run.
Beer, bites, and easy vibes
Beyond the soundtrack, the festival lines Kossuth Square with craft and traditional beer taps, hearty food options, and a relaxed, friendly setup that makes it easy to roam, taste, and linger. It’s the city’s first big community meetup of summer—and an open invitation to stay late and savor it.
