Jazz takes over Budapest (Budapest) from June 27 to July 5 as JazzFest Budapest sprawls across multiple venues for ten days. Nearly 200 performers from about 12 countries join forces with leading Hungarian talents, serving up a packed program that leans hard into high-profile headliners and rare collaborations. Expect guitar legend Al Di Meola, modern jazz icon Pat Metheny, bass powerhouse Marcus Miller, and saxophone sage Charles Lloyd to anchor the bill, each bringing their own devoted crowds and deep catalogs.
South Korea in the Spotlight
This year’s guest of honor is South Korea, with a slate of standout musicians flying in to showcase the country’s fast-rising jazz scene. The exchange promises to push beyond genre lines, blending tradition, improvisation, and fresh Asian jazz currents on Budapest (Budapest) stages.
