Siófok doesn’t take a day off. Between June 19 and late July, the south shore of Lake Balaton rolls out festivals, outdoor theater, jazz marathons, boat parties, children’s adventures, and arena-filling pop shows across multiple venues. It’s the kind of calendar that makes you plan a long weekend and then stay a week. Here’s what’s on—and when to show up.
June 19–28: Wellness vibes and early-summer buzz
Everness Festival (Everness Fesztivál) runs June 19–28, setting a mindful tone for the season while the city layers on concerts, exhibitions, and family programs. All week (June 22–28), the Kálmán Imre Cultural Center’s picks spotlight open-air theater, chamber and pop shows, and literary music evenings. Prefer your sightseeing with puzzles? The outdoor city adventure game (June 22–28) folds Siófok’s landmarks into a group challenge. Out on the water, daily Siófok boat cruises run the same dates, and from June 26–28, ÉnKertem’s Lavender Harvest at 136 Diófás Street turns summer purple and fragrant.
June 28: Coins and a sax legend
Sunday morning, coin collectors converge at the 35th National Coin Collectors’ Meeting, 8:00–12:00 at Gyula Krúdy Vocational High School (Krúdy Gyula Technikum). Late afternoon, St. Martin brings his signature sax and pan flute to the Lutheran Church at 17:00—acoustic, intimate, resonant.
June 29–July 5: Repeat hits, new nights
The adventure game, boat cruises, and the Cultural Center’s weekly lineup all refresh June 29–July 5. On July 1, the Kálmán Imre Open-Air Stage (5 Jókai Park) lights up with American Comedy – A Swing Musical (Amerikai komédia – swing musical), based on Károly Aszlányi’s play, at 21:00—a 100-minute romp plus interval on a 1938 luxury liner slicing toward Monte Carlo. The Veres 1 Theatre (Veres 1 Színház) cast includes Kata Janza/Mónika Horváth (Tony Roe), Kornél Simon (Frank Anderson), Ádám Bálint (Albert Morning), with choreography by Bertalan Vári and music led by László Vecsei. Bookings span four categories: $33, $30, $24, $20 (approx.). It’s screwball romance, high stakes, and deck-shaking swing.

The route: Siófok to Szántód, ferry to Tihany and its lookout, on to Balatonfüred, the Alsóörs pub row, a refuel in Kenese, a moon check in Balatonvilágos, and back to Siófok. Register and bring lights. Cap the weekend on July 19 at 20:30 with Péter Aranyosi’s stand-up The Digital Ninja at the Open-Air Stage—tickets roughly $18–$23—and at 19:00, Gabriella Berkes and Róbert Rátonyi perform Music in the Green (Zene a zöldben) in Jókai Park.
And beyond
The Cultural Center refreshes its weekly picks July 13–19 as well, alongside more city adventure games and daily cruises. On July 20, Vacation Children’s Concerts hit the Siófok Port (Hajóállomás)—because even Mondays deserve music on the lake.
