Balatonfüred is packing the 2026 season with festivals, concerts, films, sailing, fine wine, comedy marathons, and family adventures across multiple venues. Many tickets are available online, and programs often run outdoors, from the lakeside to church halls and historic hotels.

June 29 – July 2: Opening Beats

Gergely Rákász brings Mozart to the Evangelical Church on July 1 at 8:30 p.m. (Balatonfüred, Bajcsy-Zsilinszky u. 15), a 90-minute recital that lights up the vaulted nave. Tickets: about $16.60. The same night listing appears as Balatonfüred – Mozart, confirming the time and place.
On July 2, Arácsi UdvarMozi screens Bohemian Rhapsody. Also on July 2 at 8 p.m., the Danube Symphony Orchestra plays a film music concert at the Balaton Leisure and Conference Center’s Open-Air Stage. From July 2–4, the 37th Balatonfüred Gospel Days add soaring voices to the lakeside. Daily pleasure boating runs June 29–July 5, with separate listings for sightseeing cruises and scheduled excursions.

July 4–12: Art, Opera, Salsa

July 4 is stacked: Túrajó walks called From Tree to Forest offer guided nature strolls (about $10.90); the Vaszary Gallery opens Vaszary the Unknown Familiar – New Discoveries in the Hungarian National Gallery’s Painting Collection; and the Chill Boat shoves off at sunset with panoramic views, music, and cocktails. The city cinema program continues July 6–12, alongside boat trips. Summer ramps up with the Hungarian Summer Salsa Festival, July 7–13.
On July 6, Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde from the Metropolitan Opera screens at the House of Jewish Excellence. On July 9 at 8 p.m., the Jókai–Klebelsberg Memorial Concert takes over the Anna Grand Hotel’s ballroom: Bach’s G-minor Solo Sonata (excerpts), Mozart’s E-minor Sonata, and Brahms’s G-major Sonata, featuring violinist Anikó Áchim-Kovács and Kossuth Prize-winning pianist Endre Hegedűs. Pál Oberfrank reads Jókai’s recollections and excerpts from Count Kuno Klebelsberg’s speech. Free entry, first come, first served. That evening also brings a Party Boat from the harbor and Arácsi UdvarMozi screenings.
July 10–12 launches the first International Klezmer Festival in Hungary. July 11 is a Balaton classic: the Allianz Cross-Balaton Swim and SUP Challenge, plus another Chill Boat at sunset.

July 14–19: Stage and Screen, Airy Arias

July 14 delivers Hyppolit, the Butler (Hyppolit, a lakáj), a two-act musical comedy at the Open-Air Stage (about $16.50), and Today Let’s Have a Good Time! (Ma még egy jót mulatunk!) – a fizzy operetta in two acts at the Congress Center (about $15). On July 15 at 6 p.m., the Metropolitan Opera’s Tchaikovsky: Eugene Onegin screens in a cooled auditorium at the House of Jewish Excellence.
July 16 brings back the Party Boat and Arácsi UdvarMozi, plus a chamber night “Under Schumann’s Spell” with Jenő Koppándy, Marcella Detvay M., András Rudolf, Máté Tomasz, and Tamás Érdi. July 17 features In Medias Brass in the Vaszary Garden, and the comedy wave begins: István Dombóvári’s solo show I Don’t Love You Anymore (Deszeretlek) (about $20.70), then Duma Jam with László Hadházi, András Péter Kovács, and Gergely Litkai (about $30). Dumafüred 2026 runs July 17–26, with tickets typically $20–$30.
July 18 piles on All Stars comedy lineups, a synagogue walk with the Balatonfüred rabbi and city tour, another Chill Boat, and Hadházi’s 18+ The Right of the First Night. July 19 brings Eszter Horgas’s birthday concert Fly with Me! at the Anna Grand Hotel (about $11.10), plus new solo shows by Zoltán Kőhalmi ($21.90) and András Péter Kovács’s In Time ($22.40).

July 20–26: Dumafüred Peaks and Opera Night

Comedy keeps rolling: July 20 has Eszter Ráskó’s Satantango ($27.20) and Hadházi’s The Smartest in the World ($23.50). July 21 offers Duma Aktuál with Zoltán Ceglédi, Péter Elek, Kovács, and Litkai ($21.00), and László Lakatos’s I’ve Arrived ($20.20). The Anna Festival runs July 21–26. On July 22, Duma Swing 3 and the improvisational Ship of Fools hit the Congress Center. July 23 repeats the Party Boat and serves Péter Aranyosi’s The Digital Ninja ($23.50) and Péter Janklovics’s The Wage Obligates – Life Is Different ($20.90).
July 24: Ádám Kiss’s What I Don’t Say! ($23.50), OperaFüred 2026 – Opera Gala, and another Duma Jam. July 24–26, Füred Art Week turns the town into an art market. July 25 is a signature day: Chill Boat, the White Ribbon – Szabolcs Izsák Memorial Regatta, the 201st Anna Ball and the Anna Ball Fair, double All Stars comedy slates ($25.30/$24.80), Hadházi’s Dogs ($22.60), and a Children’s Boat with pirates, magicians, treasure hunts, and games. July 26 closes Dumafüred with more stand-up: Kovács’s In Time ($22.60) and Hadházi’s The Smartest in the World ($23.50).

July 27 – August 9: Blue Ribbon and Big Shows

Cinema and cruises continue July 27–August 2. July 28: Be Good Unto Death (Légy jó mindhalálig) at the Open-Air Stage (about $24.50). July 30 launches another Party Boat, and July 30–August 1 brings the 58th Raiffeisen Blue Ribbon Grand Prix (Kékszalag), Europe’s largest round-the-lake regatta. July 31: Zoltán Mága’s We Just Sit and Play at the Congress Center ($35.40–$49.60), and at 8 p.m., Hot Jazz Band swings onto the Leisure Center’s Open-Air Stage with Andrea Szulák as the evening’s force of nature.
August 1 is a trifecta: Chill Boat, the 6th Arács Sparkling (Arácsi Pezsgés) event, and the Children’s Boat. August 3–9 keeps films and cruises going. Auer Festival events land at the House of Jewish Excellence: August 4, an evening lecture with Ádám Bősze ($8.20), and August 5, the Korossy Quartet ($8.20). Also August 5, The Four Seasons | Candlelight Edition ignites the Evangelical Church with thousands of candles and a journey from Mediterranean warmth to Baroque elegance (about $19.10).

August 6–17: Sails, Wine, Legends

August 6: Party Boat, and August 6–9: the Hungarian Yachting Association’s Big-Boat Championship. August 7 launches the Balatonfüred Wine Weeks through August 30, while guided synagogue walks return. August 8: Chill Boat and the Children’s Boat again. August 9: HAVASI’s brand-new Piano Show anchors a marquee night at the Congress Center, and Berry and Dolly (Bogyó és Babóca), an interactive musical puppet show, charms kids at the Open-Air Stage (about $10.90).
August 10–16 sustains cinema and boat trips. August 11: The Jungle Book (A dzsungel könyve) at the Open-Air Stage (about $24.50). August 12: The Wife Begins at Forty at the Open-Air Stage ($25.60–$31.40). August 13: Party Boat. August 14: the Crazy Little Queen Tribute Band detonates Queen hits under the sultry Balaton sky ($27.20–$32.60). August 15 stacks the Children’s Boat, Chill Boat, and Attila Kökény & Viktor Rakonczai – I See You Again… at the Open-Air Stage, a summery Zenefüred highlight ($46.60). And on August 17, Zorán plays two concerts at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. at the Congress Center.
