The Városmajor Summer Festival returns to Buda’s leafy open-air stage for 2026, running from early summer through fall with more than seventy shows. Under towering old trees at the revamped Városmajor Open-Air Stage, the lineup mixes concerts, theater, premieres, kids’ programs, and film screenings—an easy go-to for first-timers and loyal regulars alike in Budapest.
July: Big Openers, Bold Comedy, Live Drama
Kicking off July 3–4 with Duncan Macmillan’s People, Places & Things (Emberek, helyek és dolgok), the pace stays brisk: Rumors (Pletykafészek), a farce by Veres 1 Színház (July 5), followed by András Kepes: You’re Right (Kepes András: Igazad van) on July 7. The French caper How to Steal a Million Back? (Hogyan lopjunk vissza egymilliót?) screens in color and dubbed (July 8). Beck@Grecsó: Love, comma, peace (Beck@Grecsó: Szeretet vessző béke) lands July 9, then My Heart at Play – A Multidisciplinary Evening with Viki Lábas (Az én szívem játszik – Lábas Viki összművészeti estje) on July 11. A sitcom homage arrives July 13–14 with You Rang, M’Lord? (Csengetett, MyLord?). Icons Rocksymphonic – 15 Divas, 15 World Hits (Icons Rocksymphonic – 15 művésznő, 15 világsláger) storms in July 15, and family hit The Red Umbrella (A piros esernyő) on July 16. Eszter Ráskó’s new stand-up (July 19), Agatha Christie – Towards Midnight (Éjféltájt) on July 20, László Mérő’s Everyone Is Happy Differently (Mindenki másképp boldog) on July 21, All In, or The Resting of Souls (Mindent bele, avagy A lelkek nyugalma) on July 24, Budapest Klezmer Band (July 26), and Zséda – Signo (July 31) round out the month.
