Under the leafy riverside trees and a scatter of glowing lanterns, Dunakeszi’s beloved Wine & Jazz Days is set to pour and play again across four summer evenings. From July 2–5, 2026, the Dunakeszi Free Beach on 1 Duna Row (Duna sor 1) becomes a mellow playground for jazz lovers and wine fans, with 11 wineries pouring their best while well-known performers take the stage right by the Danube. It’s the kind of easygoing summer escape locals swear by: live music, clinking glasses, and a river breeze until midnight.
Guests should note: the posted listing currently has no confirmed active date on the hosting portal, so details may change. Organizers reserve the right to alter the schedule and program; up-to-date information can be requested or sent via email.

Lineup highlights to catch
Expect a guitar-forward homage and world-jazz fusion from Halper–Hendrix World, lifted by the warm vocals of Tamás Berki (Berki Tamás) and Gábor Majsai (Majsai Gábor). Pianist-vocalist Szandra Iván teams up with guitarist Gellért Vadász for an intimate, late-evening set. Imre Rakonczai closes the first night with the feel of a lounge session by the water.
Friday eases in with the local Dunakeszi Jazz Club, then pivots to We Love It in Hungarian Band, delivering Hungarian-language favorites reimagined for a summer crowd. DJ Kalmix seals it with a danceable mix until lights out.
Saturday keeps it acoustic at sunset with Gabi Torzsa, then opens up with Shiny Black Records – Orsi Kozma and Her Band, a polished show orbiting jazz-pop energy and the vinyl spirit of shiny black records. The Gyula Éliás Duo brings a silky, late-night swing to send you home smiling.
Sunday is shorter but no softer: Triász warms up the riverside evening, and Mariann Falusi closes the festival with her band—big voice, bigger heart, and a laid-back command that plays perfectly outdoors.
Stay, eat, wander
If you’re coming from Budapest, you’re closer than you think. Just 30 minutes from the center, Kikelet Pension (Kikelet Panzió) sits in a peaceful holiday district a short walk from the Danube. The 1920s villa and added guest rooms blend old-world bourgeois charm with modern comfort.
Feeling peckish or planning a longer hang? Dunakeszi’s food-and-drink scene near the riverside includes several easy options:
– Cafe Local (Lokális Kávézó): a coffeehouse turned artsy community hangout for concerts, pop-up parties, small exhibitions, and private gatherings.
– A friendly family restaurant in the garden district serving hearty Hungarian classics and international dishes.
– A dog-friendly spot with a covered terrace, indoor rooms, a kids’ play corner, takeout, and space to rent for bigger celebrations—perfect mid-ride on a bike tour or for a breezy family lunch.
– Serpenyős Bistro (Serpenyős Bisztró): Mediterranean vibe, Hungarian staples crossed with Italian and Spanish flavors, plus spaces suited for companies, families, and friends.
Craving pizza? A local Dunakeszi pizzeria kneads dough daily from additive-free, traditional ingredients. Freshly grated Szarvas mozzarella (Szarvasi mozzarella), a secret-recipe tomato sauce made from quality tomatoes, and strict standards—pure flour, real cheese, lean meat. Hand-stretched dough is non-negotiable.
Good to know before you go
– The event runs rain or shine, subject to program changes at the organizers’ discretion.
– Wine is served only in the official branded glass; grab yours early at the Glass Point (Pohár Pont) cabin.
– The riverside gets busy around sunset; arriving by 18:00 means easier parking, quicker glass pickup, and a front-row patch of grass under the trees.
– Bringing kids? Early evenings and the Sunday program are the most relaxed for families.
– Dogs are common in the area; nearby there’s even a large dog school complex offering spacious runs and training grounds close to central Dunakeszi.
One last tip: let the night build slowly. Start with a crisp white from Laposa or a sparkling from Sauska, drift into a Holdvölgy or Lajvér selection as the first chords hit, and finish with a Mokos fruit wine while the duos play out under lantern light. Dunakeszi in July doesn’t rush, and neither should you.
