Balatonboglár pours sunshine, swing, and standout vintages at the Jazz and Wine Festival – In Memory of Babos (Jazz és a Bor Fesztiválja – Babos emlékére) from July 8–11, 2026. The city’s flagship summer celebration unfolds at 8630 Balatonboglár, Árpád Street (Árpád utca) 15, where a Mediterranean-style courtyard turns into an evening jazz garden with two concerts nightly and a cavalcade of flavors from top winemakers. Doors open at 19:00, first notes at 20:00. Kids under 14 get in free, and the cheese pairing table is handled by Sajtözön Kft.

Lineup Highlights

July 8 launches with REBIRTH OF THE AZUMA NINJA, a percussion–bass duet from Kornél Mogyoró (percussion) and Péter Papesch (bass guitar). Then VOYAGERS present their jazz trio album showcase: János “Yancha” Nagy (piano), Tibor Fonay (double bass), Áron Nyirő (drums).
July 9 brings DÁNIEL MESTER TRIO AND KÁLMÁN BALOGH (Mester Dániel Trió és Balogh Kálmán), with Dániel Mester (tenor sax, clarinet), Péter Cseh (guitar), Tamás Hidász (drums), joined by cimbalom great Kálmán Balogh. The night caps with MODERN ART ORCHESTRA: ERKEL DUETS (Erkel Duettek), featuring Lilla Horti (soprano) and Tibor Szappanos (tenor).
July 10 swings with the ISTVÁN GYÁRFÁS TRIO—István Gyárfás (guitar), Zoltán Oláh (bass), Balázs Cseh (drums)—followed by SYMBIOSIS 5: Máté Drippey (sax), Benedek Virág (guitar), Levente Kapolcsi-Szabó (piano), Tamás Gyányi (double bass), Roland Majsai (drums).
July 11 closes with NEW DAY SEXTET—Éva Bolba (vocals), Dániel Hofecker (trumpet), Ferenc Schreck (trombone), Attila Juhász (piano), Viktor Hárs (double bass), Dániel Serei (drums)—and the BUDAPEST JAZZ ORCHESTRA: “BIG BAND HIGHLIGHTS.”
