On July 11, the Allianz Bay Crossing & SUP Challenge (Allianz Öböl-átúszás és SUP Kihívás) returns, inviting swimmers and SUP lovers to take on the bay. Sunset Chill boats depart frequently from Balatonfüred with open decks, cocktails, music, and that unbeatable Balaton skyline; look for sailings on July 11, 18, 25, 28, August 1, 4, 6, 8, 11, 15, and more. Dedicated party ships (Bulihajó) launch from the Hajóállomás on July 16, 23, 30 and August 6, 13. Family-focused Children’s Cruises (Gyerekhajó), packed with pirates, magicians, treasure hunts, and games, sail on July 25, August 1, 8, and 15. Sailing ramps up through July with the White Ribbon – Izsák Szabolcs Memorial Race (Fehér Szalag – Izsák Szabolcs Emlékverseny) on July 25 and the 58th Raiffeisen Blue Ribbon Grand Prix (Raiffeisen Kékszalag Nagydíj), July 30–Aug 1. From July 10–12, Balatonfüred hosts the 1st Hungarian International Klezmer Festival (I. Magyarországi Nemzetközi Klezmer Fesztivál). Opera fans get a cool retreat with Magical Opera Performances: Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, a New York Metropolitan Opera screening at the House of Jewish Excellence (Zsidó Kiválóságok Háza) on July 15. OperaFüred 2026 presents an operatic gala on July 24. Candlelight elegance arrives August 5 with The Four Seasons at the Lutheran Church (Evangélikus Templom), weaving Mediterranean passion and Baroque finesse by candlelight.
Hot Jazz Band brings the swing era to the Balaton Leisure Center (Balaton Szabadidő Központ) on July 31 at 20:00, featuring the powerhouse presence of Andrea Szulák. Blues legend Gyula Deák Bill lands August 7 with the Bad Blood (Rossz vér) tour; guest: guitar icon Tibor Tátrai, and an opening performance at 20:00 by György Ferenczi and the Rackajam (Ferenczi György és a Rackajam). From July 17–26, Dumafüred 2026 rolls into the Balaton Leisure and Conference Center (Balaton Szabadidő és Konferencia Központ) with heavyweight stand-up. Expect Duma Jam nights with László Hadházi, András Péter Kovács, and Gergely Litkai (July 17 and 24, $27 each). Solo highlights include Hadházi’s The World’s Brain (July 20 and 26, $23), Last Night’s Right 18+ (A tegnap joga 18+) (July 18, $25), and Dogs (Kutyák) (July 25, $22). Operetta glitters as the 9th Veszprém Róbert Rátonyi Operetta Festival (IX. Veszprémi Rátonyi Róbert Operettfesztivál) continues in Balatonfüred. On July 13, the Operetta Train departs the Tagore Promenade at 17:30, followed by a 19:00 musical parade. July 14 at 20:00, Tonight We’ll Have a Good Time!
