July Highlights
Caramel opens with Mesemondó on July 14, followed by Pál Ábrahám – Imre Földes – Imre Harmath’s Viktória on July 17. Family picks arrive fast: Aranyszamár Puppet Theatre’s More Stubborn Than a Donkey (Szamarabb a szamárnál) on July 18 and Görbetükör Theatre’s Mattie the Goose-boy (Lúdas Matyi) on July 19. Literary walks map “Island of Saints” (Szentek szigete) on July 19 and “Island of Survivors” (A túlélők szigete) on July 26. Verdi storms in with Il trovatore premiering on July 23 and 25—plus rare backstage tours both days. Kids get Ákom-Bákom Puppet Group’s Three Hares (Három nyúl) on July 25. End the month by peeking behind the curtain for Wonderland on July 31, then Frank Wildhorn–Murphy’s musical Wonderland July 31–August 1, with more backstage access.

Leander Symphonic Choir (August 6) sets a choral blaze, while Attila Kökény & Viktor Rakonczai bring One Summer Evening (Egy nyári este) on August 8. Verdi’s Nabucco thunders on August 13 and 15. Heritage ignites with the 100-Member Gypsy Orchestra (100 Tagú Cigányzenekar) performing symphonic masters on August 19. Amadeus Live fuses film and orchestra (August 22). Szeged Contemporary Ballet turns the screws with Black Swan (Fekete Hattyú), a ballet thriller (August 26). Róbert Szikora and R-GO salute “An Odd Couple – in memoriam Miklós Fenyő” (August 29). September closes with Budapest Bár (September 2), the London Community Gospel Choir (September 4), and The Ring – EDDA Musical (A kör – EDDA Musical) on September 6.
