The Városmajor Summer Festival (Városmajori Nyári Fesztivál) returns to Buda’s leafy open-air stage with more than seventy productions, running from early summer into autumn at the Városmajor Open-Air Stage (Városmajori Szabadtéri Színpad) in the 12th District. The refreshed venue under old-growth trees hosts theater premieres, kids’ shows, concerts, stand-up, and film screenings—aimed squarely at both loyal regulars and first-timers. July Highlights
July 13 brings Jimmy Perry, David Croft, Roy Gould, and Penny Croft’s You Rang, M’Lord? (Csengetett, MyLord?) to Budapest, followed by another performance on July 14. On July 15, Icons Rock Symphonic unites 15 female artists with 15 global hits. July 16 turns family-friendly with Anikó Csetényi and Gábor Presser’s The Red Umbrella (A piros esernyő). July 19 spotlights Eszter Ráskó’s new solo show, and July 20 shifts to mystery with Agatha Christie – Gerald Verner’s Towards Zero (Éjféli tájt). July 21 hosts László Mérő: Everyone Is Happy in Their Own Way (Mindenki másképp boldog). On July 24, Gábor Németh – Zsombor Aurél Biró unveil Give It Your All, or The Peace of Souls (Mindent bele, avagy a lelkek nyugalma). The Budapest Klezmer Band plays July 26, and Zséda – Signo closes July on the 31st.
