Mark your calendars for August 22-24, 2025, because Szerencs will be buzzing with non-stop music and celebration during Artúr Days (Artúr Napok), the biggest music festival in the region. Giant stages, interactive screens, and Hungary’s most popular performers will keep the crowd dancing every night. If you’re a permanent Szerencs resident, just show your local address card and you get in for free. All kids under ten get free entry too, as long as they’re with an adult.
Three Days, Massive Lineup
Friday kicks off with German dance legend Cascada. Magna Cum Laude, Curtis, Kowalsky and the Vega (Kowalsky meg a Vega), BSW, and DR BRS guarantee the energy stays high until late. Saturday raises the bar with Fruzsi Ács (Ács Fruzsi) doing stand-up, plus Laci Gáspár (Gáspár Laci), TNT, T. Danny, Tank Trap (Tankcsapda), Mad Runners (Ámokfutók), and Lili Regán (Regán Lili) filling the stage all night. Sunday closes it all out with Rudi Krisz (Krisz Rudi), Neoton Family Stars (Neoton Família sztárjai), Hooligans, Follow The Flow, and Valmar. And yes, there’s a huge fireworks show at midnight.
Timetable and Tickets
Friday starts at 6:30 p.m. and runs deep into the night. Saturday kicks off at 5:45 p.m., while Sunday begins at 5:00 p.m. and finishes with fireworks at midnight. Advance 3-day tickets are just about 46 USD, and one-day tickets cost around 23 USD, available until August 21. Prices at the door go up—to about 51 USD for three days, and 25 USD for one day—if any remain. Szerencs residents and kids under ten (with an adult) always get in free.
Where to Eat, Sleep, Drink
Make it a weekend getaway—stay at the Renaissance-style Huszár Castle Hotel (Huszárvár Hotel) inside the walls of the scenic Rákóczi Castle (Rákóczi-vár). The hotel offers modern rooms (including wheelchair accessible ones) with lush park surroundings in the city center. Wine fans shouldn’t miss Árpád Hill Cellar (Árpád-hegy Pince) on the Tokaj wine route, where you can taste local furmint, hárslevelű, yellow muscat (sárga muskotály), and fat grape (kövérszőlő). For classic Wild West vibes and hearty meals, stop by the Western Restaurant near the main road and MOL gas station.
