2026.08.26–08.30, 8630 Balatonboglár, 28 Szabadság Street. The Boglart Festival returns to the Babel Camp on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, mixing a family-friendly folk–world music vibe with hands-on learning by day and high-energy concerts by night. It’s equal parts festival, folk music course, music industry forum, and showcase. Two stages rotate bands after sunset, then the folk pub (folkkocsma) keeps the dancing going until dawn. By day, instruments come out for workshops; by night, the lakeside air fills with grooves and foot-stomping dance-house (táncház) sessions.
Artists and Vibe
The newly announced lineup includes Belgium’s Enara Navaira, Senegal’s Afrikora, Istria’s Veja, plus Hungarian acts Okos Viola, Obadu, and resident hosts Góbé. Boglart’s signature twist: many performers also teach. Expect everything from Moldavian and string-band folk techniques to practical music industry know-how in compact, interactive sessions. The evenings wrap with táncház, then a world-music-meets-electronic afterparty that stretches well past midnight.
Showcase and Networking
After last year’s buzz, the showcase block returns, bringing Hungarian and international professionals together to swap ideas and scout talent. It’s a rare space where emerging artists, educators, and industry players mingle right by the water, making the festival both a creative lab and a scene-building hub.
Tickets and Discounts
Early-bird passes are on sale at very low prices until the first wave of artists lands in the second half of November. Options include festival passes, combined passes, 48-hour tickets, and day tickets. New discounts apply for under-18s, over-64s, and teachers. If you’re joining the course or showcase and qualify for a discount, combine reduced festival passes/day tickets with course passes/day tickets for maximum savings. Free entry for kids under 10.
