From August 26–30, 2026, the seventh Boglart Festival lands on the shores of Lake Balaton, turning Babel Camp (8630 Balatonboglár, Szabadság utca 28) into a buzzing folk and world music hub. It’s an intimate blend of festival, folk music course, industry forum, and showcase: days revolve around learning, nights spill into twin-stage concerts, then dancing till dawn in the folk pub.
The magic is in the mix. Boglart doubles as a music camp and a festival, so you get workshops by day and concerts with dancing by night. It’s not just a gig series—it’s a creative space and community moment where learning, music, and the Balaton summer sync perfectly. Year after year, it stands out at home and abroad for the way it fuses a training camp vibe with a full festival experience.
Newly announced: Belgium’s Enara Navaira, Senegal’s Afrikora, Istria’s Veja, plus homegrown talents Okos Viola, Obadu, and house band Góbé. A Boglart hallmark: performers often teach by day, from Moldavian and string folk techniques to music-industry know-how. Concert evenings close with táncház and a world music–electronic afterglow.
After last year’s warm reception, the showcase block returns, bringing Hungarian and international professionals together to meet and think collectively. The first acts drop in the second half of November; until then, grab festival passes, combo passes, 48-hour tickets, and day tickets at very low prices. Discounted tickets are now available for under-18s, over-64s, and teachers. If you’re joining the course or showcase and qualify for discounts, combine discounted passes/day tickets with course passes/day tickets. Free entry for children under 10.
Dates: August 26–30, 2026. Location: Balatonboglár. Organizers reserve the right to change dates and programs.
