Balatonfüred is packing the 2026 season with festivals, concerts, literature, fine arts, sailing, cinema, and family days across multiple venues around the lakeside town (ZIP 8230). Many events offer online tickets, and plenty are free with registration. From jazz nights and yoga on the promenade to blockbuster regattas and the historic Anna Ball, here’s a snapshot of what’s on from June through August, plus a peek beyond.
Music, Literature, Talks
June starts with the Balázs Elemér Group sliding into Parker Jazz Club on June 11. The following evening, June 12 at 6:00 p.m., the House of Jewish Excellence hosts “Velünk élő kiválóságaink,” a conversation with Professor Mihály Pósfai, academic and geologist from the University of Pannonia. June 12–13, the Könyv-Bor-Jazz Fesztivál links books, wine, and jazz in town.
On June 13, journalist and TV host Gabriella Jakupcsek sits down for an open, free talk at the Anna Grand Hotel (table reservations recommended). The same day at 5:00 p.m., the Katti Zoób Fashion Museum stages an Irodalmi divatszalon with novelist Virág Vass.
Family Days, Picnics, and Walks
June 13 brings the VI. Alfáktól Omegáig – Családi Piknik to Gapa Terrace and the Park Forest in Balatonfüred (Száka-dűlő). It’s free but requires registration. On June 27 and again July 18 and August 7, the “Füredi rabbi” city walk opens the synagogue and the House of Jewish Excellence with authentic, guided visits.
Art Openings and Free Extras
On June 19 at 5:00 p.m., Arácsi Népház (Lóczy Lajos u. 62.) opens “Anyagból fénnyé,” a show by graphic artist Milán Takács, introduced by museum educator Orsolya Nyitrai, with live electronic/folktronica-downtempo by Holb Levente “Zsörk.” Expect paper-based yet digitally created collages, experimental works, posters, logos, and analog photos. Weekend boat excursions (hajókirándulás) pop up June 13–14, 19–21, 26–28; July 3–5, 6–12; and again July 27–Aug 2, Aug 3–9, Aug 10–16.
Sunset Chill Boats sail June 20, 27; July 4, 11, 18, 25; Aug 1, 8, 15—think Balaton panoramas, mellow music, fine cocktails. Party Boats (Bulihajó) depart from the harbor on July 9, 16, 23, 30; Aug 6, 13. Wellness on the Promenade
International Yoga Day lands on Tagore Promenade June 17 at 5:30 p.m., right by the Széchenyi statue plaza. Yoga sessions on SUP boards, kayak discovery tours, and sailing trips thread through June to September in recurring series, many starting from Horváth Mihály u. 64.
Big-Stage Moments
The Balatonfüred International Guitar Festival runs June 20–27. On July 1, organist Gergely Rákász presents MOZART at the Evangelical Church. Pannon Várszínház brings Be Good Till Death (Légy jó mindhalálig) to the BSZKK outdoor stage on July 28 and The Jungle Book (A dzsungel könyve) on August 11. The outdoor stage also hosts the comedy musical The Wife Starts at Forty (A feleség negyvennél kezdődik) on August 12.
Stand-Up Summer: Dumafüred and Friends
Comedy fills the Balaton Leisure and Conference Center all July. Highlights include:
– June 20: Eszter Ráskó and András Péter Kovács, a summer-starter stand-up night (about $26).
– July 14: Hyppolit, the Butler (Hyppolit, a lakáj), a musical comedy in two acts (about $16).

The Allianz Bay Crossing and SUP Challenge (Allianz Öböl-átúszás és SUP Challenge) splashes across the bay on July 11. July 25 holds two signatures: the 201st Anna Ball (Anna-bál) and the White Ribbon – Szabolcs Izsák Memorial Regatta (Fehér Szalag – Izsák Szabolcs Emlékverseny). Just days later, the 58th Raiffeisen Blue Ribbon Grand Prix (Raiffeisen Kékszalag Nagydíj), the long-distance sailing classic, races July 30–Aug 1. Then the Hungarian Yachting Association’s Big Boat Nationals follow Aug 6–9.
Wine Weeks, Gigs, and Tribute Nights
From Aug 7 to Aug 30, Balatonfüred Wine Weeks (Balatonfüredi Borhetek) pour summer in a glass all over town. The music rolls on: the Crazy Little Queen Tribute Band rocks the outdoor stage at the Leisure and Conference Center on Aug 14 (about $26–$32).
