Parents, grandparents, and babies are turning Wednesday mornings into a music date in Balatonfüred. Ringató, the beloved Hungarian early childhood music session, welcomes families with 0–3-year-olds every Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. at the Gábor Lipták City Library (Lipták Gábor Városi Könyvtár), 8230 Balatonfüred, 35 Kossuth Lajos Street (Kossuth Lajos u. 35). Enter through the small left-side gate, then the side terrace door. Sessions are led by certified Ringató facilitator Rita Rábaközi, and everyone is warmly invited.
What happens at Ringató
Think shared singing, playful lap games, laughter, and a trove of simple instruments—everything designed to build musicality and connection. The atmosphere is friendly and unhurried; adults sing live, children listen, wiggle, echo, and soak it all in. It’s less a performance and more a shared ritual where babies rest on laps, toddlers explore sounds, and parents discover they can sing, too.
Why it matters
Regular attendance nurtures a secure parent–child bond through lap games and touch. Little ones meet their musical mother tongue with beautiful, age-appropriate songs, live voices, and real instruments. Early communal moments unfold right beside a caregiver, easing the first steps into social life. Musical abilities grow—and that growth ripples outward, supporting emotional intelligence, memory, attention, imagination, creativity, speech, and motor development. Parents share the joy of singing together and carry away something lasting: a love of music.
