Multiple venues across the 8230 ZIP area host programs all season long, with many tickets available online. Here’s the lineup you’ll want to bookmark.
June Highlights: Books, Jazz, Art, and Aerial Spectacle
June 13 brings an easygoing talk night with TV host Gabriella Jakupcsek at the Anna Grand Hotel—free entry, but table reservations are smart. The same day at 17:00, the Literary Fashion Salon sits down with author Virág Vass at the Katti Zoób Fashion Museum. Families can sprawl on the grass at the 6th From Alpha to Omega Family Picnic (Alfáktól Omegáig családi piknik), and bookworms can sip along at the Book–Wine–Jazz Festival (Könyv–Bor–Jazz), running June 12–13.
June 13–14 turns up the wow factor with Pole Artistic Hungary, a dazzling international pole dance and aerial competition featuring pole art, glamour, hoop, and hammock categories—one of those days when gravity is basically a suggestion. Boat cruises also run June 13–14, alongside the weekly cinema program June 8–14. More sightseeing cruises follow June 15–18 and movies June 15–21.
On June 17 at 17:30, roll out a mat on Tagore Promenade by the Széchenyi statue for the International Day of Yoga. June 19 opens two exhibitions: graphic artist Milán Takács’s Material into Light at the Arács Community House (Arácsi Népház, Lóczy Lajos u. 62.), introduced by museum educator Orsolya Nyitrai with music by Levente Zsörk Holb (electronic, folktronica–downtempo). Expect paper-based, digitally crafted collages, experimental visuals, design works, and analog photos; on view through August 24 during house hours (Mon, Thu 10:00–16:00; Wed 12:00–16:00). Also on June 19 at 18:00, Andrea Weichinger’s Cloud and Water – Contemplation in the Landscape opens at the Huray Villas, followed by a free concert from guitarist Gáspár (Gaspar) Thorpe. Free add-ons at Huray: June 20, 9:00 yoga and breathwork with the artist; June 26, 18:00 Folly Arboretum showcase; Sept 18, 18:00 architect Miklós Weichinger on Balaton architecture; Sept 25, 17:00 BBC reporter Nick Thorpe on the Carpathians and the Danube. Weekend cruises run June 19–21. On June 20 at 19:00, comedians Eszter Ráskó and András Péter Kovács kick off summer at Dumaszínház, Balaton Leisure and Conference Center. That night: sunset Chill Boat with panoramic beats and cocktails; Night of Museums; and Story Picnic – Tales in the Grass at Huray Villas at 18:00, with stories by Benedek Elek and Zsuzsanna Czipri (told by Edit Szabadi). Late June to Early July: Comedy, Concerts, and Sailing
June 27 features a guided city walk with an authentic leader: the Füred Rabbi tour, a synagogue visit, and the House of Jewish Excellence. Another Chill Boat sails that evening. From June 29 to July 12, look for fresh cinema and cruise schedules. On July 1, organist Gergely Rákász presents Mozart at the Evangelical Church (tickets 5,990 HUF, about 16 USD). July 3–5 brings more cruises, and July 4 delivers Túrajó guided walks—From Tree to Forest—and a bike adventure, Füred BikeQuest (Füredi KERÉKkaland) (each 3,900 HUF, about 10.60 USD), capped with a Chill Boat cruise.
The Hungarian Summer Salsa Festival shakes up July 7–13. Party Boats depart July 9, 16, 23, and 30 with a floating disco from the pier. July 10–12, the 1st International Klezmer Festival lands in town. Chill Boats sail July 11 and 18, and July 11 also hosts the Allianz Bay Crossing and SUP Challenge.
Dumafüred Takes Over: Mid-to-Late July
The outdoor stage in Balatonfüred hosts Hyppolit, the Butler (Hyppolit, a lakáj), a musical comedy in two acts, on July 14 (tickets 5,900 HUF, about 16 USD). Dumafüred 2026 runs July 17–26, serving nightly sets: István Dombóvári’s solo I Unlove You (Deszeretlek) (hosted by István Bellus) on July 17 (7,990 HUF, about 21.60 USD); Duma Jam with László Hadházi, András Péter Kovács, and Gergely Litkai on July 17 and 24 (10,790 HUF, about 29.20 USD). July 18 stacks All Stars lineups (Felméri, Kovács, Kőhalmi, Ráskó at 10,390 HUF; another with Dombóvári, Kovács, Mogács, Musimbe at 9,390 HUF), plus Hadházi’s 18+ The Right of the First Night (9,090 HUF). August: Blue Ribbon, Wine Weeks, Tribute Nights
July 30–Aug 1 is the 58th Raiffeisen Blue Ribbon Grand Prix (Kékszalag), Europe’s biggest round-the-lake sailing race. Kids’ pirate-and-magic cruises and Chill Boats return Aug 1, 8, and 15. Week-by-week cruise and cinema schedules continue Aug 3–9 and Aug 10–16. The Hungarian Sailing Federation’s Big-Boat Championship races Aug 6–9, with Party Boat on Aug 6 and 13. On Aug 7, another Füred Rabbi tour and, from Aug 7–30, Balatonfüred Wine Weeks (Balatonfüredi Borhetek) pour lakeside glasses all month. Aug 11 brings The Jungle Book (A dzsungel könyve) to the outdoor stage (8,500 HUF). Aug 12: A Wife Begins at Forty (A feleség negyvennél kezdődik) at the Balatonfüred Open-Air Stage (8,900–10,900 HUF; about 24–30 USD). Aug 14 features the Crazy Little Queen Tribute Band at the leisure center’s outdoor stage (9,990–11,990 HUF; about 27–32 USD).
