Balatonfüred is packing its calendar with lakefront yoga, big-boat regattas, late-night museum adventures, comedy marathons, art weeks, wine terraces, chill sunset cruises, and kids’ sailings. Many events sell tickets online, and multiple venues across town keep the vibe rolling from June through late summer—then sprinkle highlights into fall and beyond.

June: Yoga, galleries, boats, and a night at the museum

International Day of Yoga unfolds seaside on the Tagore Promenade at the Széchenyi statue plaza on Wednesday, June 17 at 5:30 p.m. The next night, June 18, the Bem Memorial Choir joins Gabriella Csikhon and Attila Sári to officially welcome summer in concert. All week, June 15–18, step aboard for Balatonfüred sightseeing cruises, then again June 19–21 and June 22–25 as boats keep circling the bay.
On Friday, June 19 at 9 p.m., the Esterházy Visitor Center (Táncsics Street 1) hosts Time Travel in the Esterházy Palace, an interactive exhibition discovery. It’s free, but registration is required. Also June 19 at 5 p.m., the Arács People’s House (Lóczy Lajos Street 62) opens Takács Milán’s Material to Light exhibition—paper-based yet digitally created collages, experimental pieces, poster and logo design, and analog photography—introduced by museum educator Orsolya Nyitrai, with folktronica-downtempo by Holb Levente “Zsörk.” Viewable until August 24 during venue hours (Mon, Thu 10:00–16:00; Wed 12:00–16:00).
At 6 p.m. on June 19, the Huray Villas unveil Andrea Weichinger’s Cloud and Water – Contemplation in the Landscape. After the opening, guitarist Gaspar Thorpe plays a free concert. The show anchors a run of free side events in the villa: June 20, 9 a.m. yoga and breathwork with Weichinger; June 26, 6 p.m. Folly Arboretum showcase; Sept 18, 6 p.m. architect Miklós Weichinger on Balaton architecture; Sept 25, 5 p.m. BBC correspondent Nick Thorpe on the Carpathians and the Danube through his books and films. The exhibition is free through Sept 27 during the adjacent Tourinform office’s hours.
Saturday, June 20 is stacked: Night of the Museums lights up Balatonfüred; comedians Eszter Ráskó and András Péter Kovács bring a summer-opening stand-up at Dumaszínház at the Balaton Leisure and Conference Center (tickets 9,490 HUF ≈ 26 USD); a chill sunset boat sails with cocktails and panoramic views; and the Huray Villas host a Story Picnic at 6 p.m. with tales by Benedek Elek and Zsuzsanna Czipri, told by Edit Szabadi. The Balatonfüred International Guitar Festival runs June 20–27. July: Salsa, gospel, open-air theater, and Dumafüred

July rolls in with organist Gergely Rákász: Mozart at the Evangelical Church on July 1 (tickets 5,990 HUF ≈ 16 USD). The 37th Balatonfüred Gospel Days take over July 2–4. City cruises sail July 3–5 and weekly after; chill sunset boats pop up most Saturdays. Outdoor cycling and walking tours—Füredi KERÉKkaland and From Tree to Forest—arrive July 4 (each 3,900 HUF ≈ 11 USD). The Hungarian Summer Salsa Festival runs July 7–13. Disco party boats depart the pier on July 9, 16, 23, and 30.
A brand-new International Klezmer Festival debuts July 10–12. The Allianz Bay Crossing and SUP Challenge hits the water July 11. August: Blue Ribbon, wine, theater, and big tribute nights

The 58th Raiffeisen Kékszalag Blue Ribbon Grand Prix—Europe’s largest inland regatta—unfurls July 30–August 1. Gyerekhajó sails for kids on August 1, 8, and 15; sunset chill boats glide August 1, 8, and 15. The 6th Arács Sparkling Festival pops corks August 1. The Hungarian Sailing Federation’s Big-Boat Nationals race August 6–9. The famed Balatonfüred Wine Weeks pour August 7–30 along the promenade—dozens of local cellars, food, music, lake breeze.
Open-air theater returns with A dzsungel könyve (The Jungle Book) on August 11 (8,500 HUF ≈ 23 USD) and A feleség negyvennél kezdődik (The Wife Starts at Forty) on August 12 (8,900–10,900 HUF ≈ 24–30 USD). Weekly blocks of sightseeing cruises and cinema schedules reappear through July and August, plus regular party boats from the pier. Athlete-friendly add-ons across the region include sailing tours, kayak experience tours, and SUP yoga sessions on rotating June–September dates.
