Balatonfüred rolls out a packed calendar for 2026–2027 with festivals, concerts, culture, gastronomy, and family programs across multiple venues around town. Many tickets are available online. Visitors can also find practical information on dates, accommodation, and food and drink to plan their lakefront days and long nights.
June highlights
June kicks off with the Balázs Elemér Group bringing jazz to Parker Jazz Club on June 11. On June 12 at 18:00, the House of Jewish Excellence hosts Living Geniuses with guest Mihály Pósfai, professor at the University of Pannonia, academician, and geologist. The same weekend, June 12–13, the Book–Wine–Jazz Festival (Könyv–Bor–Jazz) blends books, wine, and live jazz around town.
Daily and multi-day Balatonfüred sightseeing cruises run June 8–12, then again June 13–14 and throughout the summer, with special sunset Chill Boat departures and panoramic DJ sets. The 6th From Alphas to Omegas – Family Picnic lands June 13 at Gapa Terrace and Park Forest (Száka-dűlő), free but registration is required. That same day: An Evening with Gabriella Jakupcsek at the Anna Grand Hotel (free entry, table reservations recommended), plus a Literary Fashion Salon with author Virág Vass at the Katti Zoób Fashion Museum at 17:00.
Pole Artistic Hungary takes over June 13–14 with an international pole dance and aerial competition featuring pole art, glamour, hoop, and hammock acts—breathtaking strength, elegance, and artistry on one stage where gravity is just a tiny detail. Local cinemas keep rolling with weekly film programs June 8–14 and beyond.
Exhibitions, choirs and lake life
June 18 welcomes the Summer-Welcoming Concert by the Bem Memorial Choir with Gabriella Csikhon and Attila Sári. On June 19 at 17:00, the Arács Community House (Lóczy Lajos u. 62) opens graphic artist Milán Takács’s Material into Light, introduced by museum educator Orsolya Nyitrai with live electronics by Levente Holb “Zsörk.” Expect digitally created paper collages, experimental images, posters, logos, and analog photos. Open during venue hours through August 24 (Mon, Thu 10:00–16:00; Wed 12:00–16:00). Weekend lake trips continue June 19–21, with a Chill Boat sailing June 20 at sunset for cocktails, beats, and Balaton vistas.
Comedy arrives June 20 as András Péter Kovács and Eszter Ráskó play Dumaszínház at the Balaton Leisure and Conference Center (from USD 25.70). Museums at Night lights up the town on June 20, while the Balatonfüred International Guitar Festival runs June 20–27. Cruises and film screenings resume June 22–28, followed by more sailings June 26–28 and an in-depth synagogue and Jewish heritage city tour on June 27 with an expert guide.
July: stages, sails and salsa
From June 29–July 5, boats and movies keep the rhythm, while organist Gergely Rákász plays Mozart on July 1 at the Lutheran Church (from USD 16.20). Weekend lake tours return July 3–5. On July 4, Túrajó leads Fától az erdőig nature walks and the Füredi KerékKaland cycling tour (both from USD 10.50), plus a sunset Chill Boat cruise. July 6–12 brings more boats and films, and July 7–13 ignites the Hungarian Summer Salsa Festival. A party boat departs July 9.
The 1st International Klezmer Festival debuts July 10–12. On July 11, another Chill Boat departure meets the horizon, as athletes dive into the Allianz Bay Crossing and SUP Challenge. July 13–19 sees more cruises, screenings, and a run of outdoor theatre: Hyppolit, a lakáj (Hyppolit, the Butler) on July 14 at the open-air stage (from USD 15.90). The party boat sails again July 16.

July 24 repeats Duma Jam (from USD 29.10) and Ádám Kiss’s What I Won’t Say! (from USD 24.10), while Füred Art Week, an art market, runs July 24–26. August: wine weeks and big stages
August locks into the lake groove with weekly films and cruises Aug 3–9 and another party boat Aug 6. The Hungarian Sailing Federation’s Keelboat Championship runs Aug 6–9. A guided synagogue and Jewish heritage walk returns Aug 7. From Aug 7–30, Balatonfüred Wine Weeks pour the region’s best along Tagore Promenade with music and food. Sunset Chill Boats sail Aug 1, 8, and 15.
Open-air theatre returns Aug 11 with The Jungle Book (A dzsungel könyve) from Pannon Castle Theatre (from USD 22.60), followed by The Wife Starts at Forty on Aug 12 (from USD 23.60–28.90). A Queen tribute, Crazy Little Queen Tribute Band, storms the outdoor stage Aug 14 (from USD 26.30–31.60). On Aug 15, Attila Kökény & Viktor Rakonczai bring I See You Again… (Újra látlak…) at premium prices (from USD 44.70). Weekly movie and boat programs continue Aug 10–16 and Aug 17–23.

Beyond the headline dates, summer adds sailing tours, kayak experiences, and SUP yoga sessions sprinkled across June, July, and August, with recurring meetups at Horváth Mihály u. 64. Autumn teases more sailing and SUP in September, and year-long tips roll on with county-wide guides through December 2026. One for the diaries in 2027: a February 13 program is already penciled in.
