Balatonfüred is packing the calendar from June to September 2026 with festivals, cruises, concerts, stand-up marathons, fashion-and-literature salons, art fairs, and family days across multiple venues in the 8230 postcode. Tickets for many programs are available online, and the waterfront city’s mix of culture, sport, and nightlife makes it one of Lake Balaton’s busiest hubs this year.
June opens with boats, films, family days
The first week of June brings a Family Day in Koloska Valley on June 6, while lake fans can hop aboard Balatonfüred boat excursions June 6–7, with additional sightseeing cruises set for June 8–12 and June 15–18. Moviegoers get ongoing “Balatonfüred cinema program” listings June 1–7, 8–14, and 15–21.
Pilates Fest stretches into town June 6–7, while June 11 brings the Balázs Elemér Group to Parker Jazz Club. On June 12 at 18:00, the House of Jewish Excellence hosts the “Our Living Greats” talk with guest Mihály Pósfai, professor, academic, and geologist from the University of Pannonia. June 12–13 pours the Book-Wine-Jazz Festival into the streets.
June 13 is packed: a free conversation evening with TV host Gabriella Jakupcsek at the Anna Grand Hotel (table reservation recommended), a literary Fashion Salon talk with author Virág Vass at the Katti Zoób Fashion Museum at 17:00, and the 6th From Alphas to Omegas Family Picnic at Gapa Terrace and Park Forest (Száka dűlő), free but registration required. That weekend also sees more boat trips and the Pole Artistic Hungary international pole dance and aerial competition showcasing pole art, glamour, hoop, and hammock disciplines where gravity is just “a tiny detail.”
Exhibitions, choirs, and Museum Night
On June 18, a Summer-Welcoming concert features the Bem Memorial Choir with Gabriella Csikhon and Attila Sári. Graphic artist Milán Takács opens “From Matter to Light” June 19 at 17:00 in the Arács Community House (Lóczy Lajos St. 62), introduced by museum educator Orsolya Nyitrai, with electronic folktronica–downtempo by Holb Levente “Zsörk.” The show mixes paper-based but digitally created collages, experimental images, design works (posters, logos), and analog photos, viewable until August 24 during opening hours (Mon, Thu 10:00–16:00; Wed 12:00–16:00).
Also on June 19–21, more lake cruises depart. June 20 brings big hitters: the Night of Museums across town, plus stand-up duo András Péter Kovács and Eszter Ráskó on the Dumaszínház stage at the Balaton Leisure and Conference Center, with tickets from about $26.60. From June 20–27, the Balatonfüred International Guitar Festival strums into summer.

July: Mozart, stand-up marathons, and the Anna Festival
Organist Gergely Rákász performs Mozart on July 1 at the Lutheran Church (tickets about $16.80). Weekend lake trips continue July 3–5. Active types can join “Túrajó – Füredi KERÉKkaland” and “From Tree to Forest” walks on July 4 (each about $10.90). Cinema and cruise schedules repeat weekly.
From July 7–13, the Hungarian Summer Salsa Festival heats things up, followed by the inaugural International Klezmer Festival July 10–12. Sailing dominates with the 58th Raiffeisen Blue Ribbon (Kékszalag) Grand Prix July 30–Aug 1, then the Hungarian Sailing Federation’s Big Boat Championship Aug 6–9. Cruises and cinema continue weekly Aug 3–9, 10–16, 17–23, and 24–30.
The beloved Balatonfüred Wine Weeks fill the Tagore Promenade Aug 7–30 with local cellars pouring by the glass. Theatre returns Aug 11 with The Jungle Book (A dzsungel könyve) and Aug 12 with The Wife Begins at Forty at the outdoor stage (about $24.50–$30).
