The Rákoshegy Bartók Music House (Rákoshegyi Bartók Zeneház) in Budapest is preparing a diverse 2025 program, promising everything from interactive folk shows to world-famous guests in its intimate chamber-theater venue. Living by the motto “With Bartók’s spirit, we champion equal opportunity,” the house consistently presents 4–10 events each month.
October: Folk Frenzy for Kids
On October 20 at 9:00 a.m., Zoltán Samu and his band kick things off with an interactive folk music session and instrument showcase for kids at the Rákosmente United Kindergarten (Rákosmenti Összefogás Óvoda), 15 Lázár Deák Street.
November: Classics with a Twist
On November 3 at 10:00 a.m., Antonio Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons” will be performed by Edit Nagy (flute) and Zsolt Tassonyi (piano & arrangements). Later, on November 13 at 2:30 p.m., Rossini’s children’s opera “Cinderella” (“Hamupipőke”) will have a fresh staging, featuring Sára Banai/Klaudia Pánczél and a talented cast, accompanied by the Conterto Muzsika Orchestra (Conterto Muzsika Zenekar), conducted by Valéria Csányi.
December: Cinderella Encore
Rossini’s “Cinderella” returns on December 2 at 10:00 a.m., with the same leading cast, this time also featuring Valéria Csányi at the piano as well as conducting.
