The Budapest Jazz Club is a buzzing hotspot for all things jazz, promising a packed 2025 calendar. With cutting-edge sound and lighting, the club blends old-world coffeehouse nostalgia with the vibe of a modern bistro. Whether you’re a die-hard jazz fan or just dipping your toes into the genre, you’ll find plenty here: day or night, the café and restaurant hum with activity, and the music doesn’t stop when the sun sets.
Unmissable Concert Lineup
Night after night, you can catch shows by Hungary’s jazz elite and international stars alike. October and November alone feature highlights like the Dave Holland Trio, Nikoletta Szőke’s Gipsy Queen Live, Elsa Valle – Afrocando, Subtones, and the Budapest Jazz Orchestra’s energetic Buddy Rich Tribute. Special themed events include Broadway Night presented by the Gábriel Farkas Showband (FARKAS GÁBRIEL SHOWBAND) and the Harmonia Jazz Workshop (Harmónia Jazzműhely) series, spotlighting both legends and up-and-coming talent.
Jam Sessions and Surprises
The jam session tradition is alive and well: from Tuesday to Saturday at 10 p.m., the club opens its stage for spontaneous collaborations and improvisation. Throughout the fall, expect free jam sessions with trios led by József Pluto Horváth (Horváth Pluto József), Attila Rieger (Rieger Attila), and Zoltán Oláh (Oláh Zoltán), plus surprise appearances from vocalists and choirs.
Atmosphere and Food
Beyond the music, visitors love the jazz café’s cozy atmosphere, plus a restaurant serving up classic bistro fare all day. The organizers reserve the right to change events or times, so be ready for jazz and surprises alike!
