The Lurdy Life Blue Zone free lecture series returns with its third session, spotlighting the small, consistent steps that, over time, radically improve quality of life. Blue Zones are places where people live significantly longer and healthier than elsewhere—a concept introduced by American researcher and journalist Dan Buettner in the 2000s with National Geographic. Five hotspots stand out for their abundance of centenarians: Okinawa in Japan, Sardinia in Italy, Ikaria in Greece, the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica, and Loma Linda in California.
