Looking for a quirky end-of-summer outing? Feldebrő (Feldebrő) hosts its Linden Harvest Festival (Hárs-Szüreti Fesztivál) on August 30, 2025, at the local sports ground. Besides the classic cooking contest, there’s a bread-baking competition for those who think they have the best loaf—daring bakers are welcome.
Family Fun and Medieval Knights
The action-packed day features the Knights of Nánai Solymos (Nánai Solymos Vitézek)—medieval knights with real falcons—bouncy castles, face painting, glitter tattoos, hair braiding, as well as henna and jagua body art. There’s even a horse carriage driving competition for both participants and spectators.
Entertainment on Stage
Starting at 11:00 am, enjoy folk dancers like the Ózd Folk Dance Association (Ózdi Néptánc Egyesület) and the Feldebrő Golden Apple Dance Group (Feldebrői Aranyalma Tánccsoport). The Forest Band (Erdei Banda) delivers live music, with fantastic performances from Dalma Dance and Edle Blumen. The festival’s highlights include the blessing of grapes and the Hungarian Wine Day (Magyar Bor Napja) toast.
Winners and Cheers
Winners of the bread and best garden contests are announced in the late afternoon, followed by the grand cooking contest results and evening live music from Andörkaver. Organizers reserve the right to change the program or schedule.
