Pick your challenge, rally your crew, and make this the year you collect finish lines across the country.

May 6 — E.ON Business Run, Budapest

Corporate teams, colleagues, and solo enthusiasts take over the National Athletics Center from 18:00 for a midweek rush that’s part race, part party. The point is simple: move together, push together, and celebrate together. Expect a feel-good format and an after-work energy boost in District IX, Ferencváros.

May 9 — 19th BorsodChem Tour de Lake Tisza (Tisza-tó), Tiszafüred

Freedom on two wheels around Lake Tisza. Choose your challenge—17, 40, or 62 miles—and roll at your speed, from family-level cruising to all-out pacing. The route reveals one of Hungary’s most striking natural treasures, where motion, nature, and pure headspace align. Start in 5350 Tiszafüred and let the scenery do the rest.

May 17 — 29th Kékes Peak Run & Trail, Mátrafüred

A classic with bite: 7.2 miles and 2,201 feet of elevation gain to the country’s highest point. Go asphalt or trail and take in crisp Mátra air, deep forest panoramas, and a final kick that empties the tank and fills the soul. Comfort zones need not apply in 3232 Mátrafüred.

June 7 — 31st ALDI Women’s Running Gala, Budapest

New venue, same sisterhood: City Park’s Napozórét in Zugló (District XIV) turns into a celebration of women moving on their own terms. Distances for every level include 6.2 miles solo or in pairs, 3.1 miles, 1.6 miles, a 1.6-mile walk, a 3-person relay (3×1.2 miles), plus combos: 6.2+3.1, 6.2+3.1+1.6, and 3.1+1.6 miles. Come reset, run, and cheer each other on.

June 13 — Brutálfutás 15.0, Nyáregyháza

The longest 4.3 and 1.4 miles of your life—in the best possible way. This playfully “brutal” obstacle run is a mud-splashed, grin-filled tradition where the party matters more than power moves. You won’t get through it dry or pristine, and that’s exactly the point. Location: 2723 Nyáregyháza.

June 20 — 4th MOL Campus Bay Swim, Budapest

Dive into summer in the heart of the city at BudaPart’s Flava Beach, Újbuda (District XI). Four distances—500, 1,500, 3,000, and 4,500 meters—deliver a safe, urban open-water fix while your supporters lounge on the green stretches of Kopaszi Dam. City vibes, swim focus, season unlocked.

June 27 — 32nd KIPRUN Night Run, Budapest

Run by light, glow by night. A midsummer race through central Budapest sets you loose on the Andrássy Avenue–Heroes’ Square showcase. Go solo, in pairs, or as a trio for the half marathon, or opt for the quarter marathon. The lit-up statues and historic backdrop give the whole thing a cinematic charge. District XIV, Zugló, brings the sparkle.

July 18 — 44th Lidl Lake Balaton Crossing (Révfülöp–Balatonboglár), Révfülöp

Can you make it? Hungary’s biggest open-water event pulls in over ten thousand swimmers to conquer the “Hungarian Sea.” Swim the 3.2-mile classic or the 1.6-mile half, or take to the lake on a SUP. Rain dates: July 19, 25, 26; August 1, 2, 8, 9. Meet you in 8253 Révfülöp—see you in the water.

September 6 — 41st Wizz Air Budapest Half Marathon, Budapest

The “doable distance” kicks off BSI’s fall running season in Újbuda (District XI). Tackle the half on a highlight reel of capital-city views, or split the effort in the Wizz Air Pair Half, Powerade Trio Half, or take on the Szimpatika 10K. Big atmosphere, bigger grins, thousands of runners, and a fast finish line.

September 20 — Liget Experience Run

A feel-good, community-powered day in the park, built for play, pace, and pure fun. Come for the run, stay for the vibes.

October 10–11 — 41st SPAR Budapest Marathon Festival, Budapest

Hungary’s largest mass-participation sports event is a bucket-list must. The two-day festival in Újbuda (District XI) lines up something for everyone, culminating on October 11 with the full 26.2 through one of Europe’s most photogenic capitals. Shorter distances pack the schedule too—arrive ready, leave epic.

November 14–15 — 23rd Lake Balaton Marathon & Half Marathon (Siófok), Siófok

Late-season distance joy by the shore in 8600 Siófok. Chase a PR, soak in the lake mood, and toast the year with miles that matter.

December 6 — 11th Santa Run, Budapest

Ho-ho-go in Ferencváros (District IX). Costumes, cheer, and that “only-in-December” sparkle to cap a year of moving together.
