The Budapest Contemporary is making a grand comeback this year at the Whale (Bálna) between September 25 and 28, and it’s shaping up to be the hottest event on Hungary’s contemporary art calendar. Now in its third edition, the expo brings together galleries, artists, collectors, and art lovers for four days of art immersion, networking, and discovery.
Bigger, Bolder, More Diverse
This year promises the biggest show yet, spreading across an even larger space with almost 40 exhibitors from Hungary and abroad. The lineup covers a vast range of contemporary art styles and disciplines, attracting everyone from seasoned collectors to first-time visitors. Besides the stunning artwork, expect guided tours, creative kids’ activities, and a series of additional events, making the fair both a marketplace and a cultural festival.
All Angles of Contemporary Art
The event isn’t just about buying and selling art; it’s about celebrating creativity from all angles. Museums, universities, and design professionals will also be there, highlighting the broad spectrum and vibrant energy of Central Europe’s contemporary scene.
