Budapest Jazz Club swings into 2026 with a packed calendar, a world-class sound system, and a cozy-meets-modern vibe at 1136 Budapest, District 13, Hollán Ernő St. 7. Doors open to live music lovers day and night: concerts start at 20:00, while the wildly popular Tuesday–Saturday jam sessions kick off after 22:00. Drop in for the nostalgic café, stay for the bistro plates, and let the acoustics do the rest.
UNESCO Jazz Day Takes Over
April ignites with UNESCO Jazz Day Festival highlights: April 29 brings Random Szerda with Lőrinc Barabás and Russia’s Anton Silaev, plus a Wednesday Open Jam led by the Attila Rieger Trio. April 30 features the Dániel Szabó Trio with Gábor Juhász and a late BJC Café Jam by the Gézu Jónás Trio. On May 1, it’s a free-flowing UNESCO Jam Session, and Harmónia Jazz Workshop (Harmónia Jazzműhely) hosts UK violin star Christian Garrick with the József Balázs Trio.
Latin Heat, Big Band Power
May 2 pulses with the Richárd Révész Latin Quartet featuring Yulaysi Miranda and Elisabeth Herrera – Son est. On May 3, the BJC Big Band salutes the Dave Pell Octet, followed by a free Sunday Jam. The run continues: Tilia (May 4); Voice & Guitar with Myrtill Micheller & Tibor Pintér (May 5); Norbert Szakáll Quartet (May 6); Mihály Dresch Alternative Quartet (May 7). Liane Carroll (UK) joins József “Pluto” Horváth and Ambrus Richter (May 8). Then: MÁV Symphony’s percussion-themed Music – Space – Image (Zene – Tér – Kép) (May 9), Studio11 Ensemble with Tibor Kocsis (May 9), Bartók Conservatory Jazz Department – Serenade (Szerenád) (May 10).
