KiddieTime happens every Wednesday at the Óbuda Synagogue, turning late afternoons into a vibrant mix of music, learning, play, and movement for kids ages 3–10 and their parents. The goal: explore Jewish traditions through hands-on fun in the heart of District 3 at 163 Lajos Street (Lajos utca 163).
When and Where
Each Wednesday from 4:30–6:00 p.m., Óbuda’s community spaces buzz with KiddieTime. Upcoming dates: 05/06/2026, 05/13/2026, 05/20/2026, 05/27/2026, and 06/03/2026, all at 1036 Budapest, 163 Lajos Street (Lajos utca 163).
Three-Part Format
Part one is a family music session packed with Hebrew songs, prayers, and holiday tunes, giving kids a lively doorway into sound, rhythm, and ritual. Next comes the weekly Torah portion through drama: guided by a drama educator, children dive into stories with games, role-play, and creative activities that make big ideas tangible. The finale is movement—an energizing Krav Maga class led by a coach with experience in Israel. Beyond exercise, it builds confidence, discipline, and a strong sense of community.
Who’s Behind It
KiddieTime is led by Zsuzsa Szilánk, head of education at EMIH. The program is coordinated by Miri Radó, with Jewish content curated by Petra Nagy.
How to Join
All sessions are free but require registration. It’s a midweek parent–child reset that blends culture, values, and movement—no ticket price, just a sign-up.
