Zsilip is bringing back its revamped Sunday program for kids: the Zsiliputi Jewish Sunday School returns to the Zsilip Center, a two-level playhouse with plenty of classrooms at 1 Újpesti Embankment (Újpesti rakpart 1). Designed for ages 4–14, it blends play, hands-on learning, and tradition in a lively, welcoming space. Hundreds of children who spent their Sundays here still talk about the adventures and friendships they made—now the experience is back, refreshed and ready to go.
Sessions run every Sunday from 10:00 to 12:15, with a young, enthusiastic team guiding age-based groups. Kids prepare for upcoming holidays, learn about mitzvot, discover Jewish traditions, and pick up values meant to travel with them through life. Whether you’re tiny, a tween, a teen-in-training, or pre-Bar/Bat Mitzvah, this school is built for you.
Who It’s For
– Ages 4–6: “Hullám Group” (Wave) focuses on play, crafts, and green themes. Each Sunday, Jewish stories and heroes come alive through laughter, making, and discovery—turning the room into a mini community. Time: Sundays 10:00–12:15.
– Ages 7–9: Creative sessions, Jewish tales, games, and a buzzing atmosphere. Expect hands-on projects, stories, and lots of fun. Time: Sundays 10:00–12:15.
– Ages 10–11: The “Yam Group” promises community-building, discovery, crafts, and friendships—plenty of joy and shared projects. Time: Sundays 10:00–12:15.
– Ages 12–13: Bar/Bat Mitzvah Club (BMC) dives into values, tradition, and your own big questions. Think games, crafts, group chats, creative challenges, special experiences, and project work—starting each Sunday with energy and smiles. Time: Sundays 10:00–12:15.
– Ages 13–14: MKZ leadership training for future madrichim (peer leaders). Learn how to set an example, understand children’s needs and development, and support younger kids as a mentor—always in a warm, Jewish spirit. Time: Sundays 10:00–12:15.
