The Budapest PhotoFestival (Budapesti FotóFesztivál) rolls out more than fifty exhibitions and programs, spotlighting the best of contemporary and classic Hungarian and international photography. Running from March 27 to May 15, it spreads across multiple venues with a splashy international headliner, a sharp snapshot of today’s Hungarian scene, and a packed calendar that turns the capital into a photographic playground.
Big Names, Bigger Canvas
Expect a marquee international star exhibition alongside curated shows in major city museums and galleries. International cultural institutes join in too, layering the program with global perspectives and cross-border collaborations that keep the lens wide open.
Workshops, Talks, Market
Beyond wall-gazing, the festival leans into hands-on learning with workshops, pro talks, and industry sessions designed for both emerging photographers and seasoned pros. A photography fair rounds it out, giving visitors a chance to discover, collect, and support fresh talent and iconic names alike.
