Pros
+
Family-friendly vibe with flexible 2- or 3-course options, so kids and picky eaters can mix and match
+
Great value for a polished downtown Budapest restaurant, with drinks and coffee included for around $27–33
+
Weekly-changing menus and a special holiday lineup make it feel festive without being stuffy
+
Clear vegetarian and gluten-free options (and lighter choices) alongside hearty Hungarian classics
+
Central location in Budapest, easy to combine with sightseeing before or after lunch
+
Parking validation at reception helps if you’re renting a car
+
Straightforward for English-speaking visitors: staff at city-center restaurants typically speak good English and menus are often bilingual - ARAZ isn’t a globally famous culinary destination, so it may not have the “bucket list” pull of Michelin-star headliners
Cons
Hungarian holiday dishes (like halászlé or bejgli) are delicious but might be unfamiliar if you’re expecting standard American brunch fare
Public transit is easy in Budapest, but driving/parking in the center can be tight despite validation
Compared with similar prix-fixe weekend lunches in Western Europe, service charge is extra (12%), so factor that into your budget
