Get hands-on with nature
Curious how a sand tiger shark downs lunch? Want a front-row look at a snake’s dining ritual? Here, you can watch it all—and in some programs even take part in the feeding under staff supervision. In the rainforest zone, grab fish pellets from a vending machine and feed the colorful koi carp living right next to the alligators for a thrill that’s equal parts serene and spine-tingling. Guided tours spotlight the schooling fury of piranhas and offer controlled feeding opportunities with rays, monkeys, and free-flying birds.
Weekly feeding schedule
– Monday 14:00 snake
– Monday 14:30 alligator (every third Monday of the month)
– Tuesday —
– Wednesday 14:00 monitor lizard (temporarily paused)
– Thursday 14:30 shark feeding
– Friday 15:30 cotton-top tamarin feeding show
Monkey feedings usually run 11:30–12:00 and again 15:30–16:00. In the rainforest, guests can feed the koi by the alligator exhibit using vending-machine pellets. During guided tours, you can observe piranhas and feed rays, monkeys, and birds under expert direction.
Meet the residents
The “Shark Zoo” gathers creatures from around the globe: unhurried alligators, exotic reptiles and amphibians, tiny monkeys, free-flying birds, and thousands of shimmering fish—plus the seas’ heavyweight celebrities, the sharks. At the ray touch pool, anyone can gently stroke these majestic animals and, with keepers’ help, even feed them.
Sharks overhead, rain below
A 39-foot viewing tunnel runs beneath the shark aquarium, putting sand tiger and brown sharks within arm’s reach. Every Thursday at 15:00, divers hand-feed the predators in a jaw-dropping show. Over in the rainforest, tropical rain pours down over the alligators every 15 minutes for an atmospheric jolt.
