Pros
+
Super family-friendly with customizable menus full of kid-pleasing options like chicken noodle soup, gyros, and desserts that even picky eaters will love
+
Smack in Budapest's vibrant Erzsébetváros district, a trendy spot foreign tourists already hit for the Jewish Quarter and nightlife
+
No Hungarian language skills needed – it's tourist-friendly with English menus and international vibes
+
Dead easy to reach by public transport like trams or metro right in the city center, or drive and get your parking validated
+
Killer value at $19-23 for 2-3 courses plus drinks – beats pricey Sunday brunches in NYC or LA by a mile
+
Fresh weekly menus with global twists like quiche and Opera cake make it more exciting than standard U.S. diners
+
Perfect downtime in the heart of Budapest, easy to pair with sightseeing like the Dohány Synagogue nearby - ARAZ restaurant isn't super well-known internationally, so it feels like a local secret rather than a must-do highlight
Cons
Sunday lunches are a dime a dozen worldwide, not as unique as say a dim sum feast in Hong Kong or roast in London
Only runs Sundays from 12-14:30 in 2026, so timing has to line up perfectly with your trip
That 12% service charge bumps up the bill a tad when you're budgeting as a tourist
