June: Movies and a mega brick invasion

From June 15 to 21, Lurdy Cinema (Lurdy Mozi) serves up a fresh slate of films, promising new picks for adults and animated favorites for kids, aiming for easy shared moments in the dark. The film cycle repeats nearly every week all year, acting as a steady heartbeat for the complex.

From June 18 to 21, Brick Exhibition 2026 (Kockakiállítás 2026) kicks off with a bold promise: twice as big and three times better than last year. Nearly 10 million LEGO bricks assemble into full-scale, life-size supermodels and debut creations shown only here. Visitors are encouraged to stand beside them, snap photos, and soak up the wow factor. A colossal Playhouse spreads out for all ages to build, create, and play, turning passive viewing into hands-on fun. It’s pitched as more than an exhibition—an experience meant to inspire and recharge the entire family.

The movie roster continues June 22 to 28, along with a return run of Brick Exhibition 2026 through the same week, keeping the brick buzz alive as summer hits its stride.

June 27: A reset for the soul

On June 27, Find Your Way Back to Yourself! (Találj vissza önmagadhoz!) answers the modern call for clarity in a frantic world. The talk examines how people drift from their authentic selves, goals, and clear vision—not as a personal failing, but as a byproduct of the pace of life. The session offers a mindset shift, practical methods, and step-by-step tools to reconnect with who you truly are and put yourself back at the center of your own priorities. The rallying cry is simple: it’s time to return to yourself.

Summer stretch: Blocks and blockbusters

From June 29 to July 5, the cinema maintains its weekly rhythm while Brick Exhibition 2026 continues, again billing life-size premiere pieces and that sprawling, creativity-first Playhouse. The pattern repeats July 6 to 12, locking in a family magnet for the school holidays: films in the theaters, bricks in the halls, interaction at every turn.

July’s second half stays on course. From July 13 to 19, it’s films and the brick exhibition. July 20 to 26, ditto—“build, create, play” remains the refrain, with visitors invited to freely construct and rediscover the joy of making. Then July 27 to August 2, the combo returns once more, keeping the venue busy with foot traffic and photo ops beside towering, life-size LEGO models seen only here.

August keeps the momentum: August 3 to 9, Brick Exhibition 2026 and a fresh movie lineup. August 10 to 16, same. August 17 to 23, the cycle continues—exclusive life-size builds, interactive play zones, and weekly new films offering an easy fallback for families eyeing air conditioning and entertainment in one stop.

August 24 to 30 repeats the pairing, then August 31 to September 6 too. As school resumes, audiences can still catch the final waves of the brick spectacle alongside the weekly cinema refresh.

September into fall: Big screens stay steady

From September 7 to 13, Brick Exhibition 2026 runs again, matched by another week of films. After that, the movie cycle keeps pulsing: September 14–20, 21–27, and September 28–October 4 all promise new titles for kids and adults. The formula persists into October: the cinema refreshes weekly from October 5–11, 12–18, 19–25, and 26–November 1, before continuing November 2–8. It’s an all-year rhythm designed for drop-in plans and last-minute meetups.

November highlights: Beauty, business, pens, and a deep dive into Chernobyl

Beauty Forum 2026 lands on November 6, continuing a 34-year tradition of gathering the beauty industry to trade knowledge, explore innovations, learn, brainstorm, laugh, and reconnect. The event is framed as a beloved ritual the community is eager to keep alive—part education, part celebration.

The movies carry on November 9–15 and 16–22, but business steps into the spotlight on November 19 with the Hungarian Franchise Expo (Magyar Franchise Expo). Expect 600-plus attendees—entrepreneurs and franchise-curious visitors—meeting 40 exhibitors from small to large networks across sectors. Ten talks dig into franchise and broader business topics, lining up a compact day of opportunities.

On November 21, Hungary Pen Show turns Lurdy House into a haven for lovers of fountain and ballpoint pens, mechanical pencils, inks, and specialty papers. It’s a hands-on, one-day immersion where visitors can test writing instruments, try inks and accessories, and chat with collectors, enthusiasts, and representatives from Hungary and abroad. The vibe celebrates the joy of analog creation, the feel of handwriting, and in-person community—unmissable for anyone drawn to fine stationery and premium paper.

The cinema returns November 23–29, leading into a standout evening on November 27: Tvrtko – Chernobyl 40 (Csernobil 40), an exclusive talk marking four decades since the Chernobyl disaster. Tickets start at about $25. It’s positioned as a one-night deep dive that pairs history, reportage, and reflection.

December wind-down: Films on loop, holidays in sight

Lurdy Cinema keeps the weekly cadence as the year wraps: November 30–December 6, December 7–13, December 14–20, December 21–27, and December 28–January 3. The message stays the same—best-of-the-week films in one place, stories for kids and adults alike, an easy, shared experience for families and friends all the way into 2027.
