For three days, expect mountains of Mangalica delicacies, shimmering pork aspic, and all things pork knuckle — crackling-roasted, slow-cooked, smoked, straight from the baker’s-wife-style (pékné) oven, and in inventive, hearty dishes that make this a true knuckle paradise for devoted fans.
Center stage goes to Mangalica-forward plates, classic kocsonya (pork aspic), and pork knuckle prepared every which way. Fresh house-made sausage is stuffed on site — watch the process, then taste it sizzling hot. Pair those bites with steaming mulled wine, shot-glass-bright pálinka, and other indulgent drinks that keep the festival mood buzzing through the day and into the evening.
