
Budapest’s Margaret Island Open-Air Stage (Margitszigeti Szabadtéri Színpad) rolls out a packed 2026 concert season, mixing pop, symphonic, jazz, and film concerts with top Hungarian and international acts. The open-air venue in the 13th District keeps summer tourists and locals busy during the peak months with blockbuster orchestral nights, vocal powerhouses, and vintage-flipped hits.
Blockbusters and Openers
May 30 opens with The Lion King film concert featuring the Danubia Orchestra conducted by Stefan Geiger. On June 4, the Opening Concert spotlights the Hungarian National Philharmonic with pianist János Balázs and violinist Zoltán Bácsy‑Schwartz. June also brings Andrea Szulák (June 6), back-to-back Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox: The Future Is Vintage Tour 2026 (June 10–11), Queen Symphony & Concert Show (June 13), the Cheerful Symphonists (Vidám Szimfonikusok) (June 15), Orff’s Catulli Carmina/Carmina Burana (June 17), and EDDA Művek Symphonic (June 20).

July 9 features DJ Bootsie & Heureka Pop Orchestra: Symphotronic. August stacks the Leander Symphonic Choir (Leander Szimfonik Kórus) (Aug 6), A Summer Evening – Attila Kökény & Viktor Rakonczai (Egy nyári este – Kökény Attila & Rakonczai Viktor) (Aug 8), Flame of Heritage with the 100-Member Gypsy Orchestra Concert Orchestra (Örökség lángja with the 100 Tagú Cigányzenekar Concert Orchestra) (Aug 19), Amadeus Live (Aug 22), and Róbert Szikora and R‑GO | An Odd Couple – in memoriam Miklós Fenyő (Szikora Róbert és az R‑GO | Egy furcsa pár – in memoriam Fenyő Miklós) (Aug 29).
