Friday evenings at the Zsiliputi playhouse turn welcoming Shabbat into a kid-centered celebration. Little ones get a playful, guided program with a madricha, while the older crowd learns with Rabbi Glitzi. Zsilip hosts a mini Kabbalat Shabbat right in the playhouse: while adults hear Rabbi Glitzi’s teaching in the synagogue, children dive into interactive activities on the weekly Torah portion, Shabbat, and the season’s holidays—brought to life with pictures and lots of good games.

Those who listen closely get a gift, and yes, there’s even a raffle. Bring the whole family so everyone can learn and celebrate on Shabbat.

Why Families Love It

– Community: Kids make friends across age groups while parents enjoy learning next door.
– Playful learning: Traditions and mitzvot become tangible through crafts, stories, and games.
– Purpose and values: Sessions weave in the practices and ethics that shape daily life, from holidays to helping others.
– Age fit: Activities are grouped by age so 4-year-olds and 14-year-olds both feel at home and challenged.
